Getting there:The Melbourne Short Stay Apartments OFFICE is located at 187 City Road, Southbank. From the airport follow the Tullamarine freeway until it merges with Citylink. Continue along Citylink all the way; as you cross the Bolte bridge take the next exit on the left to join Westgate freeway heading towards the city. Take the Power Street exit before the Burnley tunnel. Make a left turn into City Road and the Melbourne Short Stay Apartments office is 50 meters from the intersection on the left-hand side.
Check-in Procedure:Check-ins are completed at the Melbourne Short Stay Apartments office at 187 City Road, Southbank. Office hours are from 7am - 8pm 7 days a week. Apartment locations will be advised at the time of check-in. Apartment distance will be no longer than a 5 minute walk from main office. Car parking:Car Parking is undercover and fully secured. ** Please note that there is a maximum of one carspace per apartment. Cost of parking is $16.50 overnight. Excellent position and sensational view over the botanical gardens, the Bay and Albert Park.
Apart from the reception/office having moved locations, causing minor early angst, this was a great place to stay. Roomy, well equipped and fantastic views. Great location for the Exhibition centre and South Bank. Not too distant from the city to walk. Restaurants everywhere, supermarkets in walking distance. Internet at just under $10 a day expensive for holiday travellers but OK for business. Network cable was supplied free on request.

We booked two apartments with 2 bedrooms in each - one double and 2 single beds plus an extra bed in one apartment as we were accommodating 7 ladies. When we arrived the rooms had double beds only in them, however upon reporting this, the problem was fixed immediately. Very impressed.
Short stay apartments was not exactly what I expected. The service was ok but I expected better for what I paid. The location is not great unless you want to spend a lot of time at the casino. Need to walk a bit to get to good food places. Internet service was a struggle and getting extra pillows was just too difficult.
When booking via internet it is not obvious that you could be placed at a different location. There are 6 different groups of appartments and you cant request which one you will be staying in. After much negotiation, Our group of 12 got rooms in the same building but on different floors. The secure lift system meant it was not easy to visit each other unless pre-arranged via phone. It looks close to southbank on the map but is in a confusing location a few streets back from the casino. Rooms were nice.
Nice apartments in excellent location. We arrived late and the office was closed so there was a bit of confusion as to where we were staying. This could be improved a bit with some clear instructions as what to do if you arrive late.
Spacious clean apartment close to Crown Casino and 10 minute walk to town. No daily servicing of apartment though, need to dry towels and make beds. Would highly recommend.
Close proximity to the City, 5 min walk from Crown Casino. Great City views if your unit is above 10th floor. Convenient apartment of reasonable size and good floor plan. For the price asked it could have been equipped with better flat screen TV rather than with existing 51cm (or less) CRT. Service was friendly and responsive. Perfect place to stay for two couples.

It was a good location for us as we needed to be within walking distance of the convention centre. The bedrooms of the three bedroom apartment were quite small when two single beds were added and the bedding was a bit tired looking. The pillow was awful and lumpy. The view from the 21st floor was quite nice. A downside of the ceiling to floor windows is the heat. The air conditioner was only in the lounge room, making cooling of the bedrooms difficult. Every single wall of the apartment was scuffed which made the apartment feel dirty. Overall it was a good apartment for the money but i probably wouldn't stay again.

We stayed at Melbourne Short Stay Apartments due to a television promotion Postcards in SA. This included breakfast provisions for the first day and complimentary car parking. The breakfast provisions were most generous and very welcome and due to the fantastic public transport system in Melbourne we did not need to use our car. We also asked for a room with a view which was also taken into account and had a fantastic view from the 30th level right out to the ocean and St Kilda. The security measures were also very reassuring. We would highly recommend this accommodation.
Aside from the rough start to getting into the car park with after hours check-in, the whole exerience was great.

Basic apartment accommodation with few services in a location close to the action of Southbank. Foxtel not available even with pre-booking. Cost is high given the level of services.
Be good if your room got cleaned every day you stay there. To get your bed made and some clean towels would be great.
