"The Melia Galgos is located in the lovely Salamanca area and is just 500mtrs from C/Serrano with it's wonderfull shops. There are quite a number of good places to eat close to the hotel (La Farmacia/Jose Luis). There is a bit of a walk to the metro Nunez Balboa. For a first visit to Madrid perhaps somewhere closer to the center but as a regular visitor this was an ideal location for my requirements. Will certainly consider the Melia Galgos for a return visit. " - Olive Maxwell


"Nice rooms, excellent breakfast, but air conditioning not working properly - we had to open the windows for hours (fortunately it wasn't summer) - otherwise, the room (336) would be unbearably hot, even with the heating off.
