"Very well presented hotel and great golf course. Lovely pool area and grounds. Spa facilities good. Our superior room was very good and spotlessly clean. Lovely view of the pool area and grounds. There was only a limited choice of food either in the Brasserie or the Restaurant and we found it to be of only average quality and overpriced in respect of this. However, the breakfast buffet was good. Staff helpful and spoke limited English if required." - Anonymous


"The hotel seemed to be quite new. The room was spacy, with a nice view to the golf course. The breakfast was excellent. Service was good. It is only a few minutes walk from the PGA Catalunya club house, so we had some nice rounds there. The location is far from Girona, so you need a car to get around. Hotel description:    The Meliá Golf Vichy Catalán (open April 2006) is located in the heart of the PGA Golf de Catalunya, alongside Caldes de Malavella, a spa resort on the Costa Brava in notheast Spain. Although modern in design, decorated in warm and welcoming colours and employing superior quality materials, the hotel is superbly integrated in its natural environment and combines perfectly with the two golf courses in the resort.

The location is 15 km. from the city of Girona, a great starting point for visiting the beaches on the Costa Brava, 40 km. from France, and 85 km. from cosmopolitan Barcelona. Girona airport is only 7 km. away.
