The hotel is very nice, very comfortable. Pool wasn't open yet (late April) but we were still able to use it - just no towel service or servers. The location wasn't great, we were looking for something better located to restaurants and shopping and this was out of the way. With a 4 year old it was a hassle. Our reception upon arrival was not all that friendly or accomodating as they could not find our reservation through HotelClub and the woman helping us was an absolute rude snot.
Stylish modern hotel with excellent breakfasts. Right beside the Plaza De Espana, though about a mile from the centre of old Seville (it's a pleasant walk, though...)
Good for the walk to old City sites. Sat night music brought in the local older couples for dancing which we found quite unusual but enjoyable. Staff were helpful, overall very enjoyable.
If you like staying 15 mins walk away from the centre, this hotel is perfect. The walk through a beautiful park is brilliant. The hotel was clean and the staff friendly, and the pool was a nice bonus. Perfect.
The Melia seville was an excellent hotel. We were given a premier room with a balcony overlooking the pool. The breakfasts were excellent too! It was nice to be near the parks and convenient that the airport bus stops right outside! Its about a 20 minute walk to the Real Alcuzar and Cathedral, so a swim at the end of the day in the pool was welcome! Very good value for money.
Very efficient and friendly staff at the reception. We enjoyed very much the outstanding buffet breakfast. Even during the very busy Easter weekend everything exceptional. We booked a triple (was a double + extra bed) in a very spacious room to our satisfaction.
The staff and service exceeded our expectations. We were traveling with an 11 month old child and required more attention than usual, the staff consisently rose to the ocassion to help us out whenever possible. We had the pleasure of staying at the Melia Don Rey Jaime in Valencia, Spain as well and were very impressed with the Melia chain as a whole. We look forward to staying in some of their other hotels worldwide.
Despite the large size of the hotel it managed to provide a very friendly and helpful service. The facilities were first rate and the buffet breakfast was the best I have come across, with staff constantly on hand to produce pots of coffee almost before you had sat down. It is within ten minutes' walking distance of the Cathedral and there is a taxi rank outside.
Outstanding value for the money; buffet breakfast was great. Would definitely book this hotel again.
The Melia Seville could easily pass for a five star hotel. Everything about it is exceptional. And the staff, from the registration desk to housekeeping, was excellent. If we ever return to Seville we would certainly stay again at the Melia Seville.
The Melia Hotel Seville is a comfortable modern hotel. My one criticism about the hotel is concerns the gymnasium hours. My husband and I brought workout clothing with us to Spain. Unfortunately, the gym never seemed to be open when we wanted to use it. I went there before breakfast and my husband went there in the afternoon. It seems to me that if a hotel advertises an amenity such as a gym, it should be open at least a few hours while you are at the hotel.
My wife and I were completely satisfied with this hotel. And on our next trip to Seville, we would consider booking there again. The location of the hotel was especially noteworthy, near many center city activities. We could walk to Barrio Santa Cruz and the Alcazar in about 15 or 20 minutes.
This hotel is one of the best of any chain we have stayed in. Staff very friendly and helpful, particularly Eduardo on reception. Room had a view over the Plaza de Espania and hotel was handy for most places. We will certainly book again if able to visit Serville and have told friends how good it was.
Staff were very helpful, considerate and hotel was absolutely delightful.
Bussines hotel, but with a warm ambiance for the individual traveller. The location is really good, to walk in town and relax in the Parque Maria Luisa, just opposite. It's a good address to have.
