The four-star EMB Hotel Memphis is situated in the fashionable heart of Amsterdam, Oud-Zuid, near to the WTC, Zuidas, Leidse Plein en de RAI. Located within walking distance of the Van Gogh, Stedelijk and Rijks Museums, the Vondelpark and stylish shopping streets. Getting there:From Central Station you can take tram 16 and get out at stop “Emmastraat”. Than walk 50 meters back and you will see the hotel on your right hand side. From Schiphol airport you can take a taxi (€35.00) or take the train to central station and from there take tram 16 as above. By car Follow the traffic signs to Amsterdam. When you reach Amsterdam, follow the signs “Ring Zuid”. Take exit 108 “Amsterdam Zuid / Amstelveen”. At the traffic lights follow direction Amsterdam. On your right hand side you will see the “Stadionplein” (Stadium Square). Follow the curve to the right and turn left at the traffic lights. At the roundabout exit at the second street on your right hand side. This leads you to the “Cornelis Krusemanstraat” which in turn becomes the “de Lairessestraat”. Continue straight to the second set of traffic lights and turn right. You will see The Gresham Memphis Hotel on your right hand side.
Check-in Procedure:At check in a credit card will be requested to guarantee the room charge and use of any extra’s. Should you not have a credit card than the room charge and a further € 50,- will be requested in advance.
Car parking:There are sufficient parking facilities in the neighbourhood of the hotel. A day card costs € 20,00 from the machine.

My hotel was close to airport like15 min away NICE
It was an ordinary hotel, friendly staff, but the smell in the rooms was just terrible.
Nice clean hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Not ideally situated but tram is about 2 min walk away so easy to get in and out of the city. Would stay again.
A little far from the action but it's on a quiet street with excellent food around the corner. Hotel was big, clean and very comfortable. Staff weren't the friendliest but I still enjoyed my stay.
I would rate this a "good" [3 star] hotel. Breakfast was good. Location excellent if you want to see museums. Ha WiFi. But nothing special. If you want a place to sleep and as a homebase for touring, it does the job.

this hotel is in a quiet area of Amsterdam, although central. Trams, a few restaurants and shops are closeby.
i defenetly recomend, very close to the city centre, with a few minutes by tram, staff very helpful and caring. i went by car, but the hotel didnt have private parking, so i parked close to the hotel, just on the olympic stadium for as little as 6 euros daily, not bad at all. i would go back for sure.

Nice four star hotel very near to the station of tram number 16 called Emmerstraat. Clean hotel in quite area, just 10 minutes by tram to centrum of the city. We had a nice stay there.
Pretty good. Servicing of rooms okay but not the best I've seen; breakfast okay but not perfect; not having a minibar was disappointing. On the plus side complimentary internet access and a very good reception desk.
Very helpful Staff. Ideal location (fairly quiet but not far from centre). The Full English Breakfast could be better for the money. Overall very good and would certainly recomend.
on the No 16 tram route from Centraal station in zone 1 .a nice hotel in a quiet district .
The hotel is very nice with big rooms, it´s quite at night and the location is a little bit outside the center but it´s easy to take the tram to the cental parts. I recommend it. Hotelguests from Sweden.
OK hotel close to Museums and upmarket residential/shopping area. Room was quite small and cold. Radiator broken, internet connection not working. Reported both but neither were fixed. Barmen very helpful and friendly, receptionist surly. Not worth the high prices.
we spend an amazing 5 days in amsterdam choosing this hotel was just the best choice just a short tram ride into the centre . we were treated like royalty at this hotel . we had great fun loved the walk in the lovely park nearby and everything else we did !! so thrilled with my choice and just a short walk to all the musems as well . thank you .
Excellent hotel in quiet location near Concergebouw, and on tram line 16 to city centre. Staff very friendly and competent.

Very nice hotel, not too far from the center with good size rooms and a small gym. Staff could have been a bit more friendly though.
A little out of the city centre but easily accessible by tram. Only on street parking - which is metered except on Sundays. Parking just over the bridge is cheaper than outside of the hotel. Staff very helpful.
