The Residence Hotel means a personal reception at the highest level. The rooms are stylishly fitted with the best beds, hotel linen and Italian design furniture. For the carpets, the curtains and the bathroom-fittings (bath or shower) we have opted for the best fabrics and for rich marble. Because of the small scale and the committed staff, the hotel is very comfortable and you will feel instantly at home. The hotel has an intimate bar. We also gladly comply with smaller wishes (flowers, newspapers,... ). The Residence Hotel has a very central location: behind the terraces of the Keyserlei and the Meir shopping street, in between the town center and the central station. The nearby places of interest are the zoo, the diamond museum, the Palace of Justice and the Beguinage. It takes 10 min. to reach the Grote Markt on foot.

Getting there:On the Antwerp motorway, exit Borgerhout, direction center by taking the Plantin Moretuslei. After second bridge, turn right into the Simonsstraat. Straight on at the Central Station by crossing the Koningin Astridplein. Turn left at the end and pass under the iron bridge. The Residence Hotel is right in front of you.

Hotel is old, but well located with walking distance to old city and shopping street. Reception is very friendly. Room is spacious.
We arrived at midnight and the staff was exceptionally friendly, room was clean, did get a smoking room which was not so great since we confirmed a non smoking. Breakfast was average, but a good selection to choose from. We paid a special price which make this great, but if we had to pay normal price I would be disapointed. I won't say it is up to 4* Standards
Problems with WiFi Internet connectilon
Not really 4 star, but very good 3 star tourist hotel. Big business room, decent breakfast and nice and friendly people at the reception. And good little thai joint on the corner ! Would stay there again due to the price.
On the plus side: Residence Hotel was nice, clean and the staff was very helpful, great breakfast. On the negative side: Hotel is a little out-dated, neighborhood isn't the best, and it smelled smokey (welcome to Europe!). In all a decent hotel and I would recommend it for those who aren't looking for a "five star" experience.
The room I was allocated was clean but a little dated, especially the bathroom decor. Breakfast was a buffet self service which was OK. Some minor points, the juices were not fresh but were made from a syrup and the hard boiled eggs were cold. The location was good as we wanted to head into the centre of the City which is about a 10 minute walk away. Overall, I'd say that it's an average hotel in a convenient location which charges a fair price. I will certainly stay there again for a single night stopover but I would be reluctant to stay there for a week.
Nice Hotel in the very center of Antwerp. But how did they get the 4 stars?! Mildew on the walls of the bathroom (without a bath).
Good location just a short walk to the main shopping street. Rooms where a little out dated but it wasn't bad value for money
There should be coffee and tea facilities in the room.
Centraly located , friendly staff, spacious rooms, but noisy, especially as no airconditioning and windows must be opened.
The location is OK, a short drive from the 'Ring' and within a short walk from the centre. Parking however gave some frustration as the Hotel and Garage are not of the same owner. Breakfast could have been better as well as the dated furniture. We stayed on the 5th floor without airco. Opening the window wasn't an option since the narrow balcony was connected to the other rooms.
Value for money. Not too expensive, clean, nice people at the reception, walking distance from the centre of Antwerp. Parking next to the hotel.
Room very comfortable and staff friendly and efficient. Went to pay with my Maestro card which they wouldn't accept - could have been tricky if it had been only card on me. The deposit was paid with that one so don't know the problem. Tea & Coffee facilities in the room would have been nice.
