Getting there:From Geelong - Turn Right into Ballarat at the Buninyong roundabout. Ballarat Lodge is on the right just before Sovereign Hill. From Melbourne - Take the first exit for Ballarat City Centre. Follow signs for Sovereign Hill, which will lead to Main Road. Ballarat Lodge is on the left, approximately 500m down from the sign for Sovereign Hill.

Excellent room and park-like surroundings. A few problems in room but rectified immediately by friendly maintenance man. Dining room and kitchen staff ruined the evening meal and half breakfast ordered was missing. Reception staff great and fixed all hiccups with booking and kitchen/dining staff.
Beautiful, clean, comfortable room in an excellent location. Very helpful staff. This was our second stay and we would definately stay there again.

Just what we needed, very happy to stay again, mattress not as comfortable as I'd have liked!
This was a pleasant hotel to stay at. Room was large and all the facilities good. I have stayed twice now at this hotel and would recommend it.
Nice hotel although the rooms were quite small and the "Deluxe spa room" wasn't very deluxe. Would suggest they invest in some new, softer pillows as the ones on offer were like rocks. Went home with a very sore neck!
Stayed for a conference and although the room and dining service and facilities were quite good - the conference service was slower than I have experienced at other places, times not always met and the staff did not appear overly enthusiastic to be there
Stayed for three nights. The room was a pleasant surprise, very tastfully decorated, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Would definately recommend and stay there again.
Nice parkland setting with small groups of units - very quiet. Spa baths should be 2 person but all OK. Very restful nights sleep.

Loved the location and beautiful grounds with plenty of car parking. Room was very clean and comfortable. Loved the log fires in the breakfast and restaurant areas. The service was excellent with friendly staff, great food and great value. would definitely stay again and recommend to friends
The rooms and bathroom were stylish and exceptionally clean. The setting and gardens were beautiful and the staff very helpful and most welcoming. Our buffet breakfast was delicious, fresh and hot, continually replenished, with lots of choices and the hostess was welcoming and very obliging. We are already planning to return with friends.
this would have to be the nicest budget hotel we have stayed in. the rooms were very well appointed and the bed was very comfortable.the gardens were very relaxing. the breakfast in the morning was delicious!!!!!

Arrived on a freezing cold night and we were welcomed by a very warm room. Enjoyed a bottle of wine in the lounge/bar area which was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was great.
