Mercure Brighton Seafront Hotel Guest Reviews

4 out of 5

Located by the sea side in front of the second pier. It is 15-20mns walk from the centre (Brighton isn't very spread so it isn't a problem) and location is perfect for a romantic weekend away. Pleasant staff, room clean and quiet. Hotel has a nice Business / corporate look and feel. It is part of a chain so you know quality will be here.

4.8 out of 5

Our two night stay was brilliant. The hotel was exceptionally clean and although our room was at the back of the hotel it had a terrace overlooking a lovely patio. We were fortunate to have fabulous weather and so sitting here after our day of sightseeing was really good. We didn't eat in the hotel so cannot comment on the food but the service from reception staff was quick, friendly and welcoming. The hotel was in a good position on the sea front with a car park (£15 per night) which was a distinct advantage. Price wise very good value, would certainly stay there again and would recommend to friends

Room was extreamly hot and you could not leave the window patio doors open at night, as people were outside your room. Very clean spacious room otherwise

The hotel: At the seafront, clean rooms, modern and pure style. Our rate was valueable, the normal rate seems too high.

After booking on rates to go, checking took ages as details took ages to come up on hotel computer.

Average hotel that was probably in its prime 20 years ago - but couldn't fault it's functionality and location was good - on the front could just walk into town and the rail station was a fiver's cab ride away. Room service stopped at 2200 (I think) which might have been an issue had I have gotten the munchies. Bear in mind the 2 night deal I got for a Friday and Saturday was per room and I was a single traveller, and I got a 3 bedded room and the deal was half the price of of other hotels, it was well worth it and would stay their again on cost alone. Not luxurious, but perfect for a weekend getaway or a holiday where you woulde be out exploring anyway as it doesn't have spa/pool/gym etc but then this is reflected in the price. Also, stating the obvious, there is one hotel after another next to each other on the front, all much of a muchness it seemed, so unless one offers a specific higher star rating or facility you want, go for this one.

We were very pleased with this hotel the location was very good, the room was clean and bright. The restaurant was excellent and to our delight there was a car park which made a big difference as not many hotels in brighton that we could see had a car park we were very pleased and happy with our stay there.

A very nice and freindly run hotel. However the room was very hot even though the heating was off, but we enjoyed our stay.

From the time of arrival to departure all our needs were taken care of, this included the inevitable task of providing change for the parking meters on the front due to the limited parking facilities at the hotel. The young lady on the evening shift at the time of booking in on Fri 8 Apr, and subsequent nights was extremely helpful and always ready to assist. We would certainly stay at the hotel if we were in the Brighton area.

Good hotel with extremely professional and helpful staff. Food was of an extremely high quality. Well situated for all amenities in the area and the hotel pool, jaccuzi and health treatments were also very good. Would definately go again to this hotel.

Stayed at this hotel on Valentines Night 2005, nice hotel on seafront, recommend get here early as parking a bit of a nightmare otherwise ! Not right in the heart of everything which may not suit those wanting to be able to stagger back to the hotel after a night on the town but overall pleased with our choice. Breakfast very good with lots of choice.
