Central, and walking distance to Suncorp Stadium. Front desk & concierge were very helpful. Would stay here again. One bad point - no plug for bath tub
Clean, close to city centre and very friendly helpful staff.
good value and good location
Found the room fittings to be very tired & some quite dirty. Bathroom very outdated with air vent attached to wall by old patchy masking tape & paint on back of bathroom door very chipped. Numerous old sticky tape and water marks on bathroom mirror and plug didn't hold water in sink. One bedside light missing and remaining one had large brown mark very visible. Also, large brown drip marks inside bar fridge cupboard. I am not a particularly fussy guest but was very disappointed with this room at that price. On a good note, the bed and linen were fantastically comfortable and the views fantastic.
Great location, nice staff, good food...Could do with a good cleaning (dust everywhere, lots of previous guest's hair in te bathroom) Boring decor, but for the price I didn't expect much
Centrally located. Great river views from our room. Hotel is getting old and tired and needs refurbishing but staff are excellent.
room was old and scruffy. Adjoining door to next room allowed me to clearly hear next door's phone conversation. Plumbing noise all night. Dirty cups and saucers in room. Glass not changed from 1 day to the next. several dirty plates in pile in breakfast room. Towels not replaced in full on second day - only given 1 very thin old towell. 2 star facilities with a 4 star price - would not recommedn and would not stay again. Have stayed in much better value hotels.
First night stayed in a smoke room, but changed to a non-smoke one next day
We were down graded to the Ibis. We were informed on our arrival that the hotel had been overbooked. No one had tried to call to let me know beforehand and we since we had booked a number of months in advance, I feel this was really rude. I would not book at the Mercure again as they did not honour our booking.
Close to city and nice river view - a little on an angle to see Riverfire fire works. Would have loved windows to open.
Motel as whole , ie passageways etc could do with refurbishment. The rooms and passageways especially on level 7 had a sewerage smell! Would be great if they had some rooms without the shower over the bath , for the elderly to access the shower easier. Some rooms had broken shower roses ,and fuzzy tv's.
The staff were very friendly, courteous and helpful. The restaurant was first class with fantastic staff and a chef who was happy to prepare special dishes. The car parking is barely adequate but reasonably priced. Internet connection is a bit pricey.
All staff were very curteous. I needed a massage while i was there and one arrived in a short time. Room service was also good. Watching the concierge work non stop when i was down waiting for a cab each day. They all seemed to enjoy thier job. One thing i did miss was somewhere to write down maintance. I told the room service staff about one thing but i had a flickering light i forgot to mention.
I was disapointed that the shower arm would not stay up on my first morning. The maid phoned and it was fixed that day. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The Cheff and staff of the resturant were helpful in helping me with my gluten free diet. The location was close to the Conferences I attended at the Greek Club and the Hilton. The riverview room was great with the ever changing view. I plan to come back to the Mecure for my annual conference again next year.
Front desk staff were helpful, suspect our initial contact was still learning the ropes. Location is good if you are fortunate enough to have a river view room but this is a slightly dead part of the city. Noise level was very bearable despite being right next to the very busy expressway. Rooms are spacious and clean but not up to date in terms of decor. Overall this Mercure needs a facelift; very tired looking furniuture in the foyer does not help with first appearances and bathrooms definiltely need up dating (struggled with a very tempramental shower head).
Convenient location but bathroom could do with an upgrade. Staff pleasant and good business hotel.
We found the hotel a very pleasant place to stay and would do so if and when we went to BRISANE again
Central to shopping and entertainment.Clean rooms. Would stay again if I was in Brisbane.
