The Hotel is clean and the rooms are well equiped with everything. I thought the food is too expensive compared to the proportion served. Also the Food and Beverage staff were very slow in attending to guests. It took 30-35mins to be served and there were only 5 guests there, but overall I would recommend it for people to stay. They provide well for families as well. With BBQ facilities close to the pool, you can save money with food etc. Parking is very secured and close to town.
Our room was in the new 3 storey part of the property and was very nice, modern and roomy. Not a lot of interaction with the staff, however assisted when asked. Close to the town centre. The price was fairly good, however, we believe that Broome accommodation is over priced.
Quiet and comfortable, this room offers the convenience of one queen bed and one single bed. Our standard rooms are located in the rear of the hotel grounds with parking close to the room.
Enjoy the true resort experience from the Superior Poolside Room with direct access to the pool and BBQ areas. The room features one queen bed.
Located conveniently close to the pool and BBQ area, the Superior Courtyard Room features one queen bed and a cosy courtyard area.
Located in the Hotel's most recently constructed wing, Deluxe Rooms offer a choice of private balcony or courtyard overlooking Bedford Park or the landscaped pool area. Comfort and convenience are complete with one queen bed, a daybed, and work desk.
Stayed a few nights at the Broome Mercure, in the older section of the hotel, it is quite basic and in need of some TLC. The staff were friendly and helpful and the restaurant was good
The check in was adequate, not a particularly friendly welcome. After we had left the following morning we realised that we had left one of our beach towels in the room. We rang from the bus to advise that we would be returning to Broome on 21st May and would collect it then. After several visits and telephone calls on 21st/22nd May we were curtly told by Rebecca that it was not there. Now it is very hard for us to understand that a brand new darkish blue 'Noosa Australia' bath sheet size towel could just disappear, but that seems to be the case! Very disappointing!!!
The room was small and the airconditioning got too cold even on the lowest setting. The buffet dinner was disappointing.
Reception staff on arrival were extremely helpful, this ensured my future stays in Broome will be with Mecure. Richard room service excellent, the meal was average, cream off. Overall as my company travels a lot throughout Aust, I will suggest 1st port is with the Mecure. Regards Jo
I stayed in the new section and it was perfect,I thought the price, facilities & close proximity to town & a lot of the sights was ideal.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Mercure Inn Broome. The level of service provided by the staff (as indeed all the tourist staff I encountered in Broome) is of the highest quality and certainly a wonderfull asset to your company and township.
The room was very nice and probably recently renovated as was the hotel restaurant, food was good however I only stayed for one night. The hotel surroundings could be improved around the older area, the hotel also has a new two story addtion which looked better.
Whilst the hotel has very nice modern accommidation, the discount room are small & out the back (over broken ground, may be the next section to be developed.
Throughly enjoyed our stay at the Mecure in Broome, Room was exelent and cleaned very well on a day to day basis. The resort could do with a freshen up,getting a bit rundown. Only complaint I have is the restaurant doesn't seem to have any organization..no one seems to be in charge,Breakfast buffet was to say the least very ordinary for the price...Dinner was a lot better with exelent food, and the staff very helpful
I stayed in the newly renovated rooms that, whilst small, were clean and comfortable. There is no cable TV so, for those TV watchers, there are limited channels. The hotel is located on the town side of Broome and is next door to the Matsos Brewery but not much else. My stay coincided with the end of the tourist season so rates (whilst less than most) were a little on the high side for the quality of the property. This is nothing new for the North of W.A. though. All in all I'd recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a 3 star property on the town side.
Always very helpful and cheery. Very nice place to stay.
Very friendly staff, perfect bedroom and bathroom, quiet and walking distance from the centre of Broome. Only disadvantage, no hotel lounge.
Stayed here on short notice. Staff were very professional and pleasant when I'd made a mistake on my internet booking. Dealt with problem quickly and with a minimum of fuss. The room was roomy, well equipped and comfortable. Small thing, I know but bathroom products a bit on the "cheap" side considering the room's price tag and similar resorts in Broome. On site dining room had the feeling of a cafeteria but Irish pub around the corner (part of the same complex) had a much more welcoming atmosphere.
Even though we were in the old section the facilities and service were something we appreciated. Would stay there again.
The staff were exceptional. They all went out of there way to ensure we were thoroughly looked after. Very polite, friendly and helpful.
The Mercure is within walking distance of Broome town and the town bus to Cable Beach stops right in front. Go for a room around the pool and you won't regret it. The other rooms are average motel style with no views or outside sitting area. The restaurant is well priced with a good mix of dishes, same for the wine list. If you're into Irish Pubs - it's part of the hotel just around the corner.
Appreciated complimentary upgrade to poolside room.
We thought the food they served in the dining room was pretty good too.
