We are located at 8 Customs Street, at the waterfront end of Queen Street, and is a convenient 5 minute stroll to the city's major attractions including the bustling Viaduct Basin.

Car parking:We offer a valet car parking service. Simply park your car in our driveway off Customs Street and hand your keys over to the Concierge on check in. A charge of NZ$30 per car, per day, will be added to your room account. Car Parking is subject to availability.
Child Policy:Up to two children under 16 years of age can stay, free of charge, when sharing a room with their parents, subject to the family being able to use existing bedding. There will be an additional charge for a rollaway bed or cot, if required. Breakfast (for up to two children) is included, free of charge when dining with their parents.
Easy to find. Close to everything. No practical internet access. Room was small but great view of the city.
We were very happy with our stay. Initially we were allocated a room that we were not that happy with so without any fuss we were moved to the one overlooking the harbour that we had booked and it was super. Staff were very obliging

Our Luxurious Junior Suites feature an open plan room with a Queen bed leading into an adjoining lounge with a fold out sofa bed. Features include a flat screen television, tea/coffee making facilities as well as a minibar in the room.

Overall hotel is clean. Heater and tv will auto off and on by itself. Didn't get to watch tv during stay. No entertainment channel on tv.
Excellent location. Lovely views from rooftop restaurant. The only downside was the heater in my room was not working. Luckily there was a portable heater in the closet.
parking onsite expensive, didn't really like the rooms, service consistantly good all round though.
Hotel was in a pretty handy spot. Service was excellent.Room was ok just abit on the tired side ie. frayed bed covers and bathroom old but double bed was comfortable. Parking expensive as usual in the city.$40. Maybe Hotel Club could do a deal on this and breakfast as well ?

This is an oldish hotel inside but despite that, the room was very clean and comfortable. I wasn't aware of noise from the street despite my room being on the street side. The restaurant view is fabulous and the food was excellent. The stand-out experience was the fantastic service. Nothing was too much trouble throughout my stay, and they even packed all the bags into the car before we got downstairs. 10/10 for customer service all the way.

Some road noise but not much for an in city location. Shopping, eating, transport, ferries, casino, cinemas all in easy walking distance.
I booked the Mercure for my parents to have a couple of nights away in Auckland for their 62nd Wedding anniversary. They came back effusive on how well they had been treated and how well run the hotel was. We would definitely book here again.

A very enjoyable stay in a comfortable room with good facilities. The Vue Restaurant also provided excellent food and great views of the harbour.
