Mercure Hotel Geelong is located in the heart of Geelong, close to the Eastern Beach waterfront, only a short distance to the Great Ocean Road and Avalon Airport, operated by Jetstar. Most guest rooms have been refurbished with facilities including sitting area, working desk, ensuite bathroom, airconditioning, ironing equipment, mini bar, Fox Sports and pay-per-view in-house movies. Some rooms have been upgraded to wireless internet access and all rooms are now 100% non-smoking. Try dining in Zenith Restaurant, which is located on the ground floor of the hotel reception, available for our fully cooked breakfast buffet, or a la carte menu from 6pm - 10pm daily. Getting there:Entering Geelong from the Princes Highway, take the city turn-off onto Mercer Street, then at the large roundabout, turn right into Gheringhap Street and the Mercure Hotel is located only four blocks up on the left-hand side.
Check-in Procedure:Our guaranteed check in time is from 2pm. On arrival guests are required to provide a guarantee for the room; this may be in the form of a credit card guarantee or a refundable cash deposit. Valid photo identification is required for all cash paying guests.
Car parking:Mercure Hotel Geelong has a guest car park, charged at $18.00 per night, per car. Off-street car parking is available.
Child Policy:Maximum occupancy per room is three (3) adults or two (2) adults and two (2) children. All rates quoted are based on two (2) people; a 3rd adult is $44 per night. Alternatively two (2) children under 16 can stay free of charge when sharing their parents room using existing bedding. Two (2) children will also eat breakfast for free when dining with their parents. Rollaway beds are available on request and are $44.00 per night.

We enjoyed staying at the Mercure Hotel, staff were friendly and accommodating. We were in a family room which was quite spacious. The only negative would be that you have to pay $18 a day to park in the Hotel car park. One night we had to leave the car out in the street as the car park was full, despite this, we would stay again.

Very nice,centrally located hotel.Rooms nicely renovated and clean.The only comment I have against the hotel is the air conditioning didn't work very well.

A clean tidy hotel, rooms of good size. This hotel has some age but has been given a tasteful lift in decor. In the Original Room the TV didn't work this was unable to be fixed and a room shift was arranged smartly. Service from the staff was commendable.
Good location, abit old, good customer service. The receptionist lady helped me with web check in for my flight with no extra cost at all eventhough there is internet available for rent near the restaurant.
Only 20 minutes from Avalon airport. Good location, walk to centre of town. Large newly renovated rooms. Ample free parking on street. Will stay there again when visiting family in geelong.

Pleasantly surprised by the Mecure. The bathrooms seem to have been renovated recently and the rooms are a good size. Good location in the centre of geelong.
Location was a little away from the beach and town centre. Staff were friendly and efficient. Restaurant was average. The room and bathroom were very clean. The windows needed to be cleaned on the outside.
I booked 2 rooms to staye there for one night with friends during the easter long weekend. Called them the night before and they upgraded the room for free so that we can have 2 beds (1queen+1single) in the room instead of just having just 1 queen bed. Great service! However, I seriously think they should have a renovation because everything seems old, or at least clean the windows because they are so dirty.
parking outside-difficult to move luggage to and from room. only one trolley and reception lacked interest in finding it when we arrived.

The motel was clean and comfortable
Although an older hotel, rooms are very spacious, good soundproofing so little neighbour noise can be heard, windows can open for fresh air, the beds are comfortable with good quality linens, and the location is handy to the city and restaurants. The bathrooms are slowly being renovated - mine was the old style, and they are a bit cramped and looking very tired and worn. The only criticism is that the windows have not been cleaned for about 10 years - they are almost "frosted" with dirt.
The views of Geelong were excellent, the hotel, lovely, clean, great service and in the best position to walk in and around Geelong.
