We booked over the internet and bought room based on price. Encountered a few problems with the air conditioner, BUT Staff went out of their way to help us which included a room upgrad . The issue was fixed with no fuss from staff. Recommend hotel if you are not expecting a 5* + facility but it is certainly 3* +++
The hotel's location is great. It is located on Queen Street and close proximity to stores in downtown. You can walk approximately 15 minutes to SkyCity or a few minutes away from the wharf. Close to the underground train station and a block away from the Airport bus. If you don't care about the external noise from an outside bar that may keep you awake at night until the wee hours, this hotel is defintely a good value. Tip: Just remember to bring earplugs.
The location couldn't be better - right on Queen St. For the price, the rooms were okay. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Would stay there again.
Everything good and good value for money. Except - One minor problem was there was no communication from hotel that hot water was cold because of supplier gas leak/restrictions.
Great location and service.
Had a problem with noise but staff very helpful in trying to rectify problem
We were short of linen. Apparently it had arrived after the housekeeping staff had left. I asked Tua for some items, and she said she would bring them later, but came sooner than she had stated. Well done, Tua. The reception staff were friendly, and helpful, and offered us a good room rate if we needed to stay another day, when our bus was cancelled. Tali was also helpful. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
Comfortable and clean facility with a good price and I recommend anyone to stay there for that budget.
truly excellent Reception Service....i had booked twin bedded room as was staying with my 14yr old son...however initial room given was a double bedded room......upon my enquiry re this ....instant apologies offered and in polite professional manner was given alternative room ...queen and single....very happy !
Great price, room was ok only thing that let stay down was the wait of over an hour for room service to arrive
Good clean hotel handy to main Auckland streets and CBD. Friendly staff, room didnt have much of a view (air con systems on next door's roof!) but the room was a nice one.
Found our stay here very pleasant.Room we stayed in very quite and staff very friendly and helpful
The Mercure Hotel Windsor Auckland was a great place to stay. The rooms were very comfortable and a good size, with all you could need in them. The food and the service were very good. The staff were very obliging. The one thing I thought no so good was the price of the buffet breakfast, I found it rather expensive. I will not hesitate to stay at this hotel again.
Really central location. Having kitchenette was a real plus. Have stayed here before and would definitely stay again.
Nice enough hotel, nothing special about it. Bit average in it's services and housekeeping.
Clean, neat room with enough space and comfortable bed.
Great location, right in town, couldnt have asked for better!! Was a bit dissapointed with the facilities in our room, we had a jug, 4 cups, 1 spoon and 1 bowl!!! Thought there would have been a bit more cutlery and atleast a plate!! Service was good but would of been nice if we were told to enjoy our stay or asked how our stay was at the end! Apart from a few minor things, a great hotel and will definately stay again!
Fantastic Location and very well priced for what you get. The spa is abit scummy and we decided not to use it.
The cost of overnignt parking at $30.00 [i.e. one third of room rate] is exorbitant and should be reviewed downward.
Overall the room was average
