Getting there:Flemington Rd exit from the Tullamarine f-way. 2 kms turn right at roundabout onto Elizabeth St. 800 mts turn left at Victoria St. Approx. 1 km, turn right onto Nicholson St which continues onto Spring St. Continue straight and the hotel can be found past Parliament across from Treasury Gardens.

Car parking:Parking available at Wilson’s Platinum Park, Collins Street, 72 Flinders Lane. Turn left into FLINDERS LANE and then right into the car park. Guests need to see receptionist at the Hotel to validate the ticket. Parking is $30.00 per 24 hours.
Child Policy:Two children under the age of 16 are free of charge when sharing existing bedding. Breakfast is also included free of charge for children under 16.
We stayed at the Mercure as we were doing a balloon flight and had to met at the Sofitel at 5.15am. the next morning As we arrived at the Mercure we got a call the balloon ride was cancelled, so we ended up taking in a few sights of the city, it is really close to everything and a tram stop was within a few minutes walk. We also dined at there restaurant for dinner and was pleased we did , the menu was basic and limited due to renovations, but the food was good ,along with the waiters who help turn the evening into a pleasant one. The room was a good size and clean , the facilities were good. We would go back again. Jeff & Teresa Antcliff
Excellent position, reception and staff. Early check-in was not passed on but staff immediately upgraded us to a great room. Breakfast manager extremely pleasant and helpful. Would recommend.

I had an enjoyable stay at the Mecure although having a room next to the service lift meant being woken at 5 am each morning. I would stay at the hotel again however would ask for a room away from the lifts. I ate room service a few nights I was there - the food was excellent!
The location is the best part as the tram stop is almost outside the front door.
The location and the restaurant at this hotel were what we enjoyed. The meal was fine and the view across to the gardens added to a pleasant stay in Melbourne. It was close to the theatre and we were able to leave early the next morning for the airport with no problems getting to our car.

Our welcome at the Mercure Spring Street was probably the best of any hotel I have stayed at. Travis on the desk was polite and helpful regarding the hotel facilities, parking and some options of how to get around the city. We booked a City view and we were upgraded to the Garden view, thanks for that. Parking was no issue (ring before hand to seek instructions from the desk). The room was better than expected for the rating of the hotel. All round an enjoyable stay in the location that we were looking for.

My wife & another couple, went to Melbourne to see the Jersey Boys. The Mercure was in Spring St. a coulpe of blocks away from the theatre. We stayed two days in Melbourne, & found we were not far from any major attractions.
Friendly staff and good location. Breakfast was quite generous. Main area of concern was the extremely noisy air conditioning unit that moaned in the roof all night, even though it wasn't on!!

The room was OK for one night but too small for a longer stay. We went back to the hotel after seeing a show and the bar & resturant were closed. I think they should stay open a bit longer to coincide with the end of shows and events.
Excellent service, great location, nice atmosphere and a beautiful view... I couldn't have asked for more! Be back very soon :)
Overall a nice stay. Bathroom shower could have been a little bigger, toilet seat was too close to shower. Nice view of garden's.
