Mercure could not be more conveniently placed for the train traveller. I took the Airport Express from Tokyo to Narita town (about 1h 20 min) and the hotel is about a 100m walk from the station. The single room was large enough for me to be able to unpack and repack my two large bags with space to spare. There is a choice of Japanese, Chinese & European restaurants and lots of other services I did not have time to try. Aircrew use this hotel so that says a lot. Very comfortable, quiet night. Big breakfast buffet and then a free ride to the airport terminal (30 min) made for an ideal stopping over place for me before a long haul flight back to UK.
I booked two rooms and each one is spacious with two double beds. It would be better if the room temperature could be adjusted. We had to turn off the air-conditioning when it became too hot indoors. The car park is free and it saved us a fortune!
Close to Narita Station. Staff were helpful, room was a little small, but comfortable enough for one night stay.
Staffs speak good english. Hotel just right behind the Narita station. And cheap internet in room.
The hotel is near to the Narita Keisei station which is convenient for us to go to the airport for morning flights. The hotel is also located about 15-20 minutes walk to the Naritasan temple. It is a simple and clean hotel suitable for travellers to stay a night before boarding morning flights. The room is spacious comparing to other hotels in Japan.
Overall experience with Mercure Hotel Narita is very good. It is just 2 min away from Keisei train station and most internal routing bus stop there. There is alot of eateries along the alley... Very good location and clean, neat and newly furbish hotel. Very friendly services from the hotel staff too. Only point to note, the shutter bus to airport is rather small.
Narita was a surprise package for us, we couldn't believe what a great little place to visit. The gardens and temple were magnificent. The little street that winds its way down to the temple is very picturesque. And interesting! You can watch the eel shops killing and filleting the eels!! The hotel was right beside the station - very handy. Breakfast was good, staff were very friendly as well. The real bonus is the courtesy bus to the airport -very handy. Leaves every half and hour. Great value for money.
This hotel is located about 20 -30 mins free shuttle ride from Narita airport. It's handy to train stations, but be aware that it takes about 1.5 hrs from Narita to downtown Tokyo. The hotel itself is fine - comfortable with large rooms and good-sized bathroom (for Japan). Excellent b/fast choices - Nihon & Gaijin. There are many restaurants nearby - but they were very busy when we tried to get into them around Christmas time. I'd stay here again if I didn't have time to get into Tokyo proper - or wanted a larger room and was willing to spend time travelling. (WF Australia)
The plus point for this hotel is the location as both the JR and Keisei Line is within stone throwing distance, so that if you are thinking of heading back to Tokyo (both line) for another round of shopping or visting Disney land (JR Line), u still stand a high chance.( i did!!! haha...) in fact, the surrounding is a perfect spot to spent some quality family time and u may also take a 15min bus journery (the bus stop just right outside Keisei station - bus fare at 200 yen) to another Big shopping centre. in addition, shuttle bus service is FOC btw airport and the hotel. Cheers!!!
great location for an overnighter in Narita - easy to get to on the train from the airport and the walk to the temple was brisk at 7:00am in Winter.
The hotel was very good. I discovered I had missed the shuttle bus from the airport so took the train instead. I arrived from the airport before the official check in time but a room was made available within a few minutes. There was a facility to leave my bag on the last day and pick it up before I went to the airport. The breakfast was good and although I hadn't booked in advance was charged at the "advance purchase" rate. The hotel is very convenient to both JR and the private railway stations. Coin in the slot internet is both slow and expensive (as was the nearby internet cafe - where you had to take your shoes off before entering). I was happy to have made the choice to stay at Narita and base my travels from there.
the location of the mercure was great having two train stations within one minute of the hotel enabled us to travel wherever and whenever we wanted the am/pm stores are a bonus and buses to the mall around the corner a 800metre stroll down the road through traditional japenese shopping to a magnificent temple and surronding gardens. the mercure staff were very friendly and helpful and all speak good english all in all a very enjoyable experience and definetly would stay again and recommend it to friends
Lovely hotel located less than 20 minutes from the Airport. The Kaesei train station is a two minute walk from the hotel and the JR lines train station is about a 5 minute walk. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and friendly and they spoke excellent English. The room was clean and large compared to other hotels in Tokyo for the same price.
Comfortable hotel, if a bit old-fashioned. Its main advantage is offering an interesting alternative to the airport hotels by being located in the town itself, which is worth a visit. (There is a good shuttle bus service.)
Fabulous breakfast buffet too.
A great location for an overnight stop in Narita if you want a Japanese experience - the town of Narita is outside the door.
Very easy to find from the train station, reception staff were very friendly and spoke excellent English. Room was quite big and was clean. Shuttle bus to airport didn't go at times that suited me but that was only a small thing, i just got there early.
Excellent location near Narita train station and within walking distance of principle tourist attractions in the town. Also free shuttle service to airport.
I felt as if I was a secondary customer at this hotel who seemed to focus its total attention to servicing air crew from various airlines. Chosen this because of its convenient location and the internet in room, but only to find out upon check-in that internet facility is not always available due to limited number of modems and that there is a fee to renting a modem - about $10. The way it connects between the two building, main & annex, made a messy roundabout by transfering from one elevator to the other at certain floors only .. it certainly made it more troublesome and tiring to drag my luggage from front desk to the room. No assistance was offered. The attidtude of the front desk staff was far less than desired for a well known international chain hotel. The breakfast was poorly attended and most trays were empty at 8:50AM! The shuttle bus service was good and the driver was very helpful. All in all, I didn't enjoy my stay and would not be staying there again.
The outstanding thing about this hotel is the location right in the heart of old Narita township. Easy walking to quaint village style shops, British style Bar, and just around the corner from rail station for easy ride into Tokyo or to the airport. Not really an airport hotel but handy enough for one or two day stop-over. Village is a bonus and is probably why Airline Crew Members use this hotel. We found the premises clean enough and serviceable with good air-conditioning. Rooms are of an okay size. The Hotel Restaurant does a nice cheap breakfast.
