Best deal for price and location.
Verygood hotel in all aspects - Location is excellent short walk to the rail network which is ideal for tourists to get around Vienna. Would not hesitate to have a return visit
We got a fantastic deal from you for the room (less than 40% of the posted price), but it is unusual and not very satisfactory for us Norwegians to pay 15 euros pp for breakfast. This is alwys included in Scandinavian countries, so perhaps using your clout you might help change that very old-fashioned way of splitting the two parts - not only at Mercure hotels but many others in continental Europe.
Chose this hotel for its star location. It's right opposite the road when you get off the train at Wien Westbahnhof, probably about 100m away. You can also take the U-bahn to the city centre, Stephanplatz, which is a quick 5-stop away. Paid an average of €89-99 a day. Breakfast went for €15 per person, which we didn't have, but ventured nearby for our morning meals.
Very well positioned hotel.
We chose this hotel for its location to the Railway Station and reasonable price. The underground train is closeby to the hotel and also a tram, so very easy and convenient to get around. Nice clean hotel. Highly recommend.
access to internet was not good . only one terminal was available in loby , and and one day the system was down. using internet in rooms was too expensive , 8 Euro per hour.
Very clean rooms & facilities, receptionists speaking multi languages, located near metro station and walking distance (20') to the center. The walk might be longer since you walk on the shopping street Mariahilferstrasse.
Small but adequate and very clean well serviced room. No air-conditioning but a very efficient fan in room.Excellent bathroom. Reception staff very helpful. Truly excellent breakfast. Excellent location - trams and underground on doorstep. Line U3 links with all major sights. Good reasonably priced restaurant/pub next door. Hotel expensive but nevertheless recommended.
The breakfast was excellent.
The Mercure Wien Westbahnhof Hotel is very conveniently located. It is right next to the Westbahnhof station and 5 minutes away from all tourist attractions. The hotel rooms are of a very good standard and have all amenities of a typical 4 star hotel. To summarize, this is a very good hotel for a tourist visit to Vienna.
Nice hotel and the location is perfect for the travellers who want to travel by train.
Very nice hotel, we enjoyed our 2 night stay. The service staff were very friendly, spoke English well. It was very clean for a busy hotel. The only thing that let us down was on the first night we had dinner in the hotel restaurant. The food was very average and expensive, plus the service that night was not so good. But in saying that, the buffet breakfast the next morning made up for it. This hotel was close to the metro, trams and buses which made it very easy to get around. I would highly recommend this hotel.
We got a fairly small room in the attic, with aroof window without an outside view. Near by metro service remedies a lot for the non-central location - the same goes for athe airport bus. Otherwise: a very good breakfast buffet and very helpful front desk staff. The policy regarding extra pay for a few hours additinal stay (69 euros for 5 hours, due to late plane departure and a wife needing to ly down) is debateable - given 5 nights stay and a not-full hotel.
Hotel convenient to Westbanhoff Railway station/underground. Staff friendly and helpful. Spoke english. Excellent breakfast. Nice restaurant and bar. Our room was comfortable and clean.
This is a good hotel but people should be aware that the location of this hotel is good if you are travelling to Vienna via train, it is not a great location if you want to stay in the splendor of the heart of the city.
Clean room, great breakfast. Good location and good service.
Excellent location and good value for rail travellers.
Comfortable beds with duvets. Great location for access to trains & buses.
Good Hotel, very good location and for very accepted price in heart of Vienna.
