"Even if I stayed a nonsmoking room the room was smelling cigarette. There was no air conditioning in the room, Carpet was very old and was definitely not good for you if you are allergic to mites. Location is not good if you want to enjoy the downtown activities. Except these downsides, the breakfast buffet was good and both the restaurant and frontdesk staff were very helpful indeed. Reception staff very helpful. Truly excellent breakfast.
Excellent location - trams and underground on doorstep. Line U3 links with all major sights. Good reasonably priced restaurant/pub next door.
Hotel expensive but nevertheless recommended.

"The Mercure Wien Westbahnhof Hotel is very conveniently located. It is right next to the Westbahnhof station and 5 minutes away from all tourist attractions. The hotel rooms are of a very good standard and have all amenities of a typical 4 star hotel. To summarize, this is a very good hotel for a tourist visit to Vienna." - Anonymous
