Metro Inn Edgecliff

The room was shabby and very poorly maintained. The housekeeping staff seemed reluctant to do anything other than pull the covers up over the bed. I definitely would not recommend this place to anyone.

We have stayed at the Metro about 4 times now but this time found it a bit on the shabby side but found out it is closing down at the end of February and is being turned into apub and serviced apartments hence very little maintence. We liked the location and price ect. To us it was so easy going we just went in and out, we always had plenty of tea and coffee and clean towels ect, sorry to see it go as when we were in Sydney it was our little home.

Having stayed here a number of times over the years, it is in need of an overhaul. My Room would not be comfortable during a long, hot summer. A digital TV would have enhanced my stay.

A well worn establishment but reasonably maintained and it has limited car parking which is very tight, and can be a pain for a low slung car. Price through [Website] was excellent for Sydney.

front desk staff are helpful, but room service is limited to before 10am.. but good value for the price..

We stayed an extra night and will be staying there again next week. This facility is basic but is close to where we need to be for appointments. Better space than the Ibis we stayed at recently.

Quite inadequate car parking and the surrounding streets have heavy time restrictions

This time I was really very happy and satisfied with all the services the Metro Inn Edgecliff offered and the excellent view on the bay-side. I sure will come back and recommend it to friends.

Nice hotel pretty basic close to everything

Very nice and friendly staff. Nice meals for dinnner. The Rooms on the street side could be improved with double glass windows. The noise could be reduced.

Rooms small but clean and bed comfortable. Lovely views on harbour side - and quieter than on road side. Parking limited and cramped - get in early!

Found it very hard to sleep because of the terrible traffic noise right outside our window. Would have been good if it was sound proof. Also the windows were terrible - couldn't open or close them. Extremely basic accommodation. Great location though!

Excellent location between the eastern beaches and central Sydney, 2 blocks from the rail station. Quiet area but close enough to many things. Staff helpful and informative. Facilities, particularly the toilets/baths, are in need of better maintenance and sprucing up (peeling paint). Half of the inn's rooms have quite nice views of Double Bay and the Harbor. Affordable.

room 502 was very noisy. there ought to be a water spout to fill the kettle. other than that it was comfortable

Terrible carpark, very tight, but at least there is one that doesn't cost.

Not a top rating hotel but if you have a need to stay in the area is a place to sleep.

Rooms right on the rd so if you are on the street side it is very noisey. Great showers! Staff are very helpful & friendly.
