"We found a fantastic rate on this hotel. We decided to take the lowest price available, so we did not include breakfast. We can not comment on the food because we never ate there. Even with the low rate, we were given a room with a balcony overlooking the harbor. The view was fantastic, as was the location. The bathroom was a bit small, but it had been remodeled. We will definitely return on our next trip to Como. We stayed for two nights around the middle of September 2009." - Anonymous

"Very clean and compfortable. Well placed for train (North Como Largo), buses, taxis and lake ferries.
Restaurant not part of hotel so cannot book to room. Restaurant closes at 10.00 pm.

The hotel Metropole Suisse au Lac, situated in the main square of Como, directly on the lake, between the Swiss border and the city of Milan is a fine property established in 1892 and recently renovated.
The hotel has 71 rooms, single, double standard, double superior and junior suite.
All rooms are equipped with air-conditioning, private bathroom, safe, hairdryer, mini bar, satellite TV, pay TV , direct dial telephone, heating and Internet connection.
The double superior rooms and junior suites overlook the lake.
