Staff were very friendly and helpful. Whether it was the receptionists dealing with our toddler, or the concierge getting us cabs and helping us plan our sight-seeing! would definitely stay here again.
Stylish, elegant, thoughtful. good staff, cool bar GREAT food... best conversion of a YMCA I have ever seen!
The coolest hotel that I have styed in. Next door to the Banyan Tree with its roof top bar Vertigo and the Sukothai with its excellent resturant Celadon makes this a great spot to stay.
Great bar & pool. 10 minute walk from the night market which is a must & a 10 minute walk from the skytrain.
Lovely modren hotel that retains boutique hotel qualities. Well located. Great food,
Magnificent! Can do without the rest of Bangkok but will return just for the Metropolitan. The service is fabulous, the food is even better. As to the room (ours was a "Met" and I'd seriously recommend it), palatial. King bed, king living area, king bathroom-you name it, king. Thank you, Metropolitan; civilisation in Bangkok.
Very impressive hotel and staying there was a pleasure. Excellent service and food, wonderful breakfasts and Asian room service dishes; Glow. the organic restaurant was also good, as was Met Bar. Gym and spa fantastic, both first class; staff pleasant and helpful. Room was a little small, and rooms only have 'half' windows, but very comfortable (watch your shins though on the bed corners and and window seat edges). Good use of space in bathroom, and good spa qualilty toiletries provided, but showers and baths seemed a bit old, maybe from a former life. Light, practical bathrobes were a bonus. Main negative was poor reading light in bed. But would definitely recommend and will stay there again.
A fantastic 5 star hotel. A wonderful place to stay in downtown Bangkok, modern, clean with beautiful interiors. Superb breakfast with great choice of food. Would definately stay there again. Best hotel of our trip.
Amazing hotel. Simple and sophisticated. Highly recommend
Beautiful hotel, great service . definately return on all future visits to Bangkok.
The Met is by far the most stylish place to stay in town. Has the wow factor that is sure to make your stay memorable.
After six years of hunting I've found the hotel I'll stay at on every future visit to Bangkok. Staff, room and overall wow factor just hit the spot. It felt as if the staff were expecting you to arrive, wanted to ensure you enjoyed every minute of your stay, and wished you a safe onward journey on leaving. Location is fine for the metro (5 minute walk) or taxis arranged with ease. Not many hotels you arrive back at in Thailand late at night and find a couple of Ferraris parked outside. Met Bar was rather good, though my memory gets rather fuzzy at this point...
Excellent, will visit again!
Loved the spacious modern rooms and amenities in the room. Breakfast in the restaurants Cyan and Glow was a unique experience. Quite different from the standard hotel buffet. High quality food. Best to get a room high up as music could be heard from the Met Bar downstairs at night time.
It is a very stylish and cozy hotel.
