38 rooms hostel situated in the heart of the old city of Barcelona. We have 24 hours reception. All the rooms are en-suite and include air conditioning and central heating. Pension Miami is very close to variuos points of interest such as Plaça Catalunya, Las Ramblas, Barri Gotic, Port Vell and the Fira de Barcelona, the conventions and congresses center of the city. Other attractions such as the Sagrada Familia, Parc Guell and Nou Camp are easily accesible by the city's efficient public transport system. We have an special room for the luggage in case it's needed. IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a budget hotel located in El Raval, the Red Light Quarter of Barcelona next to Las Ramblas. Although the hotel is centrally located, just around the hotel some prostitution activity occurs. There is an almost permanent police presence so the safety is not an issue.

Getting there:We are placed quite close to one of the main train stations in Barcelona called Plaça Catalunya, where you can get a train to the airport which is 20 minutes away. You can also get a taxi or a bus from or to the airport. Bus leaves you in Plaça Catalunya. From there to our hostel there is a 5 minutes walk.

I must say that I was quite happy with my stay at the Miami Pension Barcelona. It's in a good location where everything is a metro stop away and considering how inexpensive the room was I definitely hot my money's worth. The rooms are small and the restroom is probably smaller so if you're on the chunky side this hotel is NOT for you. Otherwise if you're just looking for a decent place to stay in Barcelona at a good price I recommend this place. Oh and did I mention the staff was very nice to me? (Although I do speak fluent Spanish as well)

Address on the reservation is two blocks from the hotel, as another hotel takes care of registration. when you get off the taxi with your bags, you must walk two blocks with your bags to your room.
The place was great, the shower was a little peculiar but it was clean and NOT ridiculously tiny! Im not sure why its said that there are prostitutes in the area, I did not see a single one. The location was good, its not to far from La Rambla and there is a laundromat a block away plus good restaurants and cafes all nearby. For the price, you really cant complain!

Location was fine. Front desk was curtious and you drop off your key when you leave. They keep the front door locked. The room with 2 single beds and one bathroom was neat, they cleaned it and made the beds daily, with clean towels. The bathroom was extremely small and no had no outlets. Since we weren't in the room much, it served its purpose..i would stay there again.
very basic hotel but staff very helpful. room i stayed in was very small but clean. good postion from where the La Rambla and old quarter is within walking distance. would not recommend the hotel to couples or single female travelers as the hotel is within a back street which could considered seedy to some people.
Best to arrive here during the day as it is set back from the main road and the approach can appear a little daunting in the dark. However the location is extremely close to the Rambla and so you are only a short walk from the old town and harbour. The rooms are basic but comfortable and perfect for anyone simply looking for a place to sleep during their stay. The staff were friendly and helpful and could always offer advice on places to visit.
Good for people on a tight budget. Only drawback no windows in rooms. Rooms good size and new bathrooms very good.

stayed here in JAN 2007. here is a summary: GOOD: - location is excellent, 5 min to Ramblas and 7 min to Placa Catalunya - value for money: keep in mind that this is a 2* place and you will not be disappointed - clean rooms BAD: - toilets: too crampy - rooms: too small (but clean)
Good location, but a little noisy at times. Also, rooms can be quite cold in winter. Overall a decent hotel for the price.

The place was not difficult to find, and it was a ways off La Rambla. Very small room for the triple, but the bath-room was very adequate.
Very very basic with few creature facilities. Choosen on price - a mistake I will not make again.
Location is the best, I couldn't believe that this hotel will be in the centre of the city and also room and service is not that bad, so I would recommend this hotel!! ps. I know that I cannot check-in before 1pm because I arrive to early in the morning but they would allow us to keep our stuff in a room. The problem is they ask me to comeback later around 5pm or 6pm with really aggressive voice, she was rude to us but except this thing, I cannot find the problem in this hotel!! I would come back again!! High Recommend!!
Great place to stay at. Very cheap, very close to la rambla. Was able to get some free WiFi depending on where I was in the room (YMMV). Was a bit hard to find as there was another street with the same name, this is walking distance from la Rambla.
Overall this was ideal - centrally located and low cost. Would go back there again no problem.
Small room with very simple equipment. Staff were friendly and no complaints about the location which is very near to Placa Catalunya and La Ramblas but it was located in a small street which was hard to find the first time round.
