Excellent value for money. Perfect for shopping and sightseeing as close to Oxford Street, Hyde Park and Bond Street
The hotel was perfectly situated for what we wanted to do in London. The room was comfortable and well appointed however the decor needs updating. The buffet breakfast was good quality although choice was limited and we had to pay extra for a small tomato omelette! Overall we would recommend this hotel and would stay again mainly because of the location.
The hotel felt like a Grand Hotel of former times. Marble floors and beautiful carpets in the lobby, bell men in top hat and coats. A warm welcome, including tips on a local festival, was followed by a pleasant room (although the bed sagged). But, in order to use the Internet we had to visit the Business Center to get a special code for access to the wireless -- at a 4-hour or per day rate. Then, breakfast required first walking the gauntlet with the host who would not greet guests until they reached the front of the line. Being there on a busy Sunday, many guests waited in line unacknowledged as he attended to parties one by one. The staff needs a crash course from Danny Meyer in hospitality. Check-out meant another line, as the hotel had no express-check out function: everyone had to wait to approve a bill. Really, why not prepare the bills the night before like most hotels? The location was super convenient to shopping and Hyde Park. And, for the price, it was pretty darned good.
I love London and always enjoy staying in Mayfair. Since I'm selecting a hotel from abroad it's always a little difficult, but this hotel exceeded our expectations! The staff here was incredibly friendly, and helpful. The room was very nice and comfortable. There are several pubs, and restaurants very near by as well as a lot of shopping. We talked about trying out another part of town next time, but the staff was so helpful I don't think we'll want to try another hotel any time soon.
The hotel location is excellent, not far from Oxford street in a nice garden square near the American embassy. The decoration and the room our oldish style and the maintenance level is medium. The towel heater didn't work although we requested to fix it. Shower Gel was not supplied for the last three days due to "supply shortage" as informed by the room service. The restaurant breakfast is extremely expensive.
Have stayed here several times, the room size is variable, the smaller rooms quite small. Service good and efficient. Normally very good room rates available. Internet not so good in some rooms. Breakfast was good - though internet and breakfast were expensive.
Great room and location. Had asked for a cot which was not there when we arrived but this was immediately provided. The bedlinen needed to be chaaged as it had some sort of tissue fluff from washing and this was also done very promptly. Bed was comfortable and bathroom clean, reception and concierge staff very friendly.
A good hotel with a very good location at a good rate.
A very nice and centrally located hotel, in walking distance of Oxford street / Selfridges.
My 5th stay. As ever very comfortable bed and friendly staff. Quality for the price is excellent for rooms. Bar prices are a bit high - but no worse than other similar quality hotels. Location is first rate. Am staying again later this month!
Great location, easy walk to Oxford St for shopping.well serviced by taxi's,would stay again.
A real pleasure to stay here. Food excellent and service was the perfect mix of friendliness and effeciency. Struggled to reduce room temperature from 27degC when we arrived.
My first room 722 was indeed quite used - carpet etc. i changed into 166 and was happy. I found the location excelent - especially if one likes to walk around. Everything easily to reach within a walking distance. Opposite a park it was quite too. Bar and service - there was nothing to complain. I will be in London on a regular basis and I will stay at the Millinium again.
very happy with the room.... although it was a bit on the small size the hotel in general made up for this.
Two things that were disapponting: 1. the shower stall tended to overflow and water would spread throughout the whole bathroom. Whoever invented that shower was somewhat short sighted. I would recommend that you request a tub/shower. 2. Even though we used a phone card the hotel charged us for using their phone... Great location, clean and comfortable
We had a fabulous time at the Millennium Hotel Mayfair. Our rooms were extremely comfortable and well maintained and the staff were so helpful. We have already recommended the hotel to a number of friends. I have to mention that the bed was the most comfortable we have every had on any holiday anywhere.
We stayed in this hotel for a long weekend. Got a fairly good rate through this website. The rooms are ok, not huge, but clean. However, you have to pay quite a bit of extra for everything, like the use of internet in the room (20 quids per day). Otherwise the location is excellent, you can find places to eat in the area (I recommend the Audley pub for typical English fair), Oxford street is close for shopping and all of the tourist sites are easily accessible on foot or by the tube (Bond st. and Green Park are the 2 stations nearby).
VERY GOOD LOCATION. FOR THE PRICE BREAKFAST SHOULD BE INCLUDED. NO DRINKING WATER PROVIDED IN THE ROOM
The location is perfect. Romms are clean and comfortable. full information about atractions was given. rates are abeat high especially the shattle to the airport.
Arrived at 7 am and was checked into room 207, which was perfect, the reception staff were polite and efficient at both check in and check out. Breakfast service good and the food fast and good. Used room service once, the food was very good, prompt and the meal well presented. The room was fantastic, excellent size, comfortable bed, great bathroom, good internet. The price with [website] was good. The location is quiet but a short walk to oxford street etc.
