Simple, quiet, comfortable, and right price. Not far from business site. Good sport bars near hotel.
The hotel was really close to Ford Field and Comerica park. Hotel was vintage and historical which was a nice chsnge of pace. The hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. It was easy to get to the hotel, it was right off the interstate and you didnt have to go to far into downtown Detroit to get to it. I would recomend this hotel to any one wanting to go to a Detroit Lions or Tigers game, i will be staying at this hotel again when i come back for another sporting event.
Newly Renovated rooms include coffee makers, some with Fridge and microwave, includes complimentary continental breakfast. Built in ironing boards with iron.
Went to see the Tigers beat the Yankees. The location was perfect. The hotel is old and the rooms are basic but it served its purpose as a clean place to sleep. The pie shaped elevator is cool. Breakfast was available. Staff was great.
My daughter and I went to the Paul McCartney concert at Comerica park. The hotel was within walking distance. It was clean and provided a comfortable nights sleep before we headed home. The staff was very helpful. This is an old hotel that is in great condition for it's age.
Whenever we go to a Tiger's game, we always stay at the Milner. It isn't the fanciest, but the staff is friendly, great room rates, and SUPER close to all the bars and Comerica. Decent continental breakfast in the morning, that is served until 11am. AWESOME
Rooms have old-style radiators for heat. Was extremely hot. Could not be regulated. Needed to open window (temps in the 20s) to cool the room. Asked for towels three times before they were brought to the room. Received a 15% discount card for another stay (good for 90 days only). Car alarms from the parking garage will keep you awake at night. Great location for Comerica Park and Ford Field, the Opera House and Fox Theatre and the People Mover rail. Within blocks of each. Continental breakfast is fine. Get there early before they run out though. If you're on a tight budget and just want a place to lie down, give it a try. If you want more comfort and sleep, try another hotel.
