"A fantastic and impressive manor on the outskirts of Cardiff. Service left a bit to be desired, rooms are clean..but a bit tired. Can't comment on pool as was shut for refurb. Miskin need to up there game. This could be one of the best hotels in South Wales with a bit of effort." - Robert Holland
"great atmosphere great food" - Michael Brittain
"Pricey, but wonderful. Staff are efficient and friendly. Food is not the greatest and would never have found it without following someone else." - Anonymous
"Booked a country hotel to avoid traffic noise but got serious motorway noise all night with the window open. (Note in hotel room that weekends there are often wedding discos and noise will finish 11 to midnight!!!) Public rooms good. Paper peeling off damp patch on bedroom ceiling (room 3) . Bathroom very tired with chipped paint. Service in Bar was good but in restaurant was just hopeless (no bread served with soup or starters- ordered white and red wine and came together - wouldn't leave bottled water on the table, just got one glass each and no-one around to ask for more!!!) Food good price but mixed - and rather bland- good starters but some main courses were poor - veg dish hopeless. Leisure centre very very tired wet side (pool, sauna, steam room and cold showers in primitive changing rooms) - though dry side looked much more modern. Beautiful gardens and outside of buildings very impressive. " - Anonymous
