Misty Peaks is a Boutique Hotel with only five suites. It has magnificent views of Mount Cook and Mount Tasman and is situated 5 kilometres from both Fox Glacier itself and beautiful Lake Matheson which is renown for its still waters and reflections of the mountains. A well appointed guest lounge with wood fire and 30 inch satellite television provides a quality atmosphere to relax in and enjoy a drink with the other guests. An 'A la carte' dinner menu offering quality fresh New Zealand produce and extensive wine list is available every evening. All guests dine together adding to the warm ambience of Misty Peaks accommodation in Fox Glacier. A complimentary continental or cooked breakfast each morning and a glass of wine with cheese each evening is included in the room rate. The veranda around Misty Peaks provides comfortable outdoor seating. A perfect vantage point to take in the breathtaking views of Mount Cook, Mt Tasman and the stunning sunsets of our homestay accommodation in the delightful ever changing rural setting of Fox Glacier.

very helpful hosts and large well maintained room made our two night stay very relaxing and enjoyable and the views to Mt Cook were excellent

Great care was shown by the owners to provide all facilities needed by guests. The cooked breakfast was excellent and the hostess was very friendly and helpful during our visit. Overall, a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.
One of the best B&B. It's small but the owner really go out of their way to make the guest comfortable and friendly with the other guests. The complimentary cheese platter and glass of wine is a superb touch!! Like it very much!! The room is very nice...(what else should we expect since we order the Honeymoon suite!!), the bathroom is better and cleaner than most of the hotels we've been to. The complimentary breakfast is also very hearty. Good value for money. Will be back if in the area again! One disappointment however is the fact that the owner left the window open in the room when we arrived. As this is in the summer, we found several bugs in the room which my wife is not so fond of!!
Dave and Lea do a great job. Very accommodating, professional and fun people. You won't be disappointed.
A little out of town - need a car to go to beautiful Lake Matheson (not to be missed) and restaurants etc.
Very comfortable, pleasant sized room and ensuite. Great breakfast and outstanding (optional) dinner available.
Lee and Dave provide very personal service and the communal dinner idea is great (it tasted good too, although in our opinion was over-priced). We had a very enjoyable evening.
Warm hosts, EXCELLENT dinner (extra cost) and lovely location. A real treat ... highly recommend it.
Lea and David really do provide a truly welcoming and friendly atmosphere in their bed and breakfast. We only stayed one night but it was one of the best nights of our holiday because of our hosts and the opportunity to mix with other guests in very relaxed surroundings. Dave's cooking is well worth sampling and both breakfast and dinner were very well prepared. We are more than happy to recommend Misty Peaks to other travllers and if you can stay more than one night!
Beautiful & classy B&B, set in the middle of a picturesque valley with stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Friendly hosts who provide wine & cheese in the evening and a lovely cooked breakfast in the morning. Excellent location, car-parking right outside the rooms and superb bathrooms (en-suite).

Great location in the town of Fox. very convienient for both Fox and Franz J glaciers. Very knowledgeble and helpful hosts with lots of local connections. Delicious food in the evening.
It is a new house, very light and modern and pleasantly decorated. Rooms have ensuite facilities, huge comfortable beds and French windows leading to an outside deck. Laundry facilities and internet access are available. It is more in the nature of a homestay than a hotel really. If you are looking for a short stay in a peaceful environment with friendly and knowledgeable hosts I would highly recommend it.
A MOST ENJOYABLE STAY. CLOSE TO ALL OF THE ACTION AT FOX. DAVID AND LEE? THE PERFECT HOSTS. WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANYONE WHO WANTS A B&B STAY WITHOUT ANY HASSLES. JUST RELAX AND ENJOY THE SCENERY.
