"Hotel location is convenient, close to train station thus we didn't need to drag luggage crosing the bridge or taking the water bus that extremely expensive. Brakfast was good the person who took care breakfast was very efficient. The entrance of Hotel Moderno is situated in a typical Venetian "Calle", a very narrow street (about 80 cm.). The hall and the breakfast room of Hotel Moderno are situated in the connected Hotel Zecchini, situated in the next buiding, which belongs to the same hotel chain.
In the hall of Hotel Zecchini at guest's disposal are always: free Venice citymaps, magazines and newspaper in the main european languages, information about: live concerts, theatre performances, city tours and cultural events in Venice.
Hotel Moderno is open all year round, 24 hours.
The day of the departure, after check-out time (11.00 a.m.) guests can leave their staff for free in the hall of Hotel Zecchini untill they leave.

From Venice Railway Station "Santa Lucia":
do not cross any bridge, get first street on the left, "Lista di Spagna", walk straight on 1 minute and find Hotel "Moderno" (at Hotel Zecchini's hall) on the left side of the street at the number 154/b.
From Venice "Marco Polo" airport:
get bus 5 to the Venice bus terminal Piazzale Roma, it takes you about 25 minutes and the ticket is Euro 1,00 per person, per luggage. Then get motorboat number 1 or 52 or 82 to Venice railway station Santa Lucia (ferrovia), which is the next stop, it takes you about 1 minute and the ticket is Euro 3,50 per person, per luggage.
Get off at the railway station Santa Lucia (ferrovia) and then don't cross any bridge, just get the first large street on the right, "Lista di Spagna", walk straight on about 1 minute and then easily find Hotel "Moderno" (at Hotel Zecchini's hall) on the left side of the street at the number 154/b. |
