Great place to holiday. I do recommend to all friends; I would love to visit again.
While the staff service was prompt, professional, ensthusiastic and pleasant the daily room and dining courtyard cleaning was virtually non existant. On arrival one bedside lamp and the TV remote control were missing. The toilet roll holder was broken even though the room had just been renovated. There was one plug for four sinks in the communal kitchen. The documentary in the theatrette didn't roll over to the next one, the astronomy session, massage and the science seminars were not available, and the swimming pool gate had lost it's spring and was difficult to shut and nearly always left open so any young child could get in to the enclosure. The laundry near our room was advertised as including a dryer but didn't have one. A great place and a lovely room but attention to detail and cleaning severely lacking.
The twin or family Shared Ensuites at the Dolphin Lodge are excellent value for money for travellers on a budget but still want to enjoy all of the Resort facilities and activities in the heart of the Shark Bay World Heritage area." The Shared Ensuites sleep two people (additional persons - additional charge - see rates and tariff sheet) with a maximum of four people per room.
"Garden villas are ideal for small families and couples wanting the luxury of a stylish villa set amongst the gardens of the Monkey Mia Resort - and still not far from the beach." Located within the gardens of the Resort and only 20 – 100 metres to the famous dolphin beach.
"Perfect for couples and honeymooners, the Beachside Dolphin Units have a birds-eye view of the beach and the famous Monkey Mia stunning water sunsets." Motel style units located on the absolute beachfront and only 50 metres from the famous dolphin beach.
A fantastic place to holiday - loved it and still raving to my friends about it. Only wish I had booked our holiday for a longer period. A+
We stayed here twice, 1st time very good, second time very disappointed. Same style of room both occasions similar locations, Dolphin rooms. 2nd time was Easter/School Holidays place was packed! Very noisy, room poorly serviced, laundries all out of order, reported air conditioner leaking onto the carpet on our arrival , not fixed by the time we checked out. Food at all cafes and restaurants excellent value for money, fresh and well presented. Tours good value,
Awesome experience, highly recommended for a family holiday. Accomodation that caters for everyone. Will definately be back someday. Loved the dolphins.
It is very good that my unit has a balcony facing the beach.
I would class this resort more of a 'Holiday Camp'. The resort is littered with cars parking where they can, as there is insufficient space for all cars near accomodation blocks. Rusting caravans draped with cloth and plastic sheets give the appearance of a 'Gypsy/Travellers Site'. Dispite this, its location is fantastic, and the dolphin experience an envy to friends and family back home. The surrounding area is a great exploring ground, though 4WD recommended to get best benefits. A location I would certainly go back to.
Some staff at the resort were very disinterested in offering information re excursions. One of the booking offices was closed due to staff shortages. We could not get on a Twilight cruise since it was not on offer during the days we were there (2) or do an Awestonomy excursion. The dolphin experience was truly breathtaking and the staff in the restaurant really professional and nice.
pretty much the best place to stay if you don't have a car and just want to see the dolphins & wildlife. surprising they did not have telephones in the dolphin beach units
Exellent place total experience, more time required to fully enjoy the essence.
An excellent location and basic facilities.
Due to the remoteness of Monkey Mia the facilities were good, the only complaint was the bed - the mattress was very old and uncomfortable
Wonderful resort I would recommend to anybody
Very basic facilities but a good location.
A must for all to visit!! Going back for New Year after stay in October.
A pleasant stay, although surprised that we nearly could not book seats in restaurant -- the alternatives are not obvious as Denham is some distance away. Fabulous location and good accommodation. I would go back.
