Via Borgo Pinti, 27 50121 Florence
Now with 45 rooms, all of which stylishly decorated and split between the old palazzo and a newer wing across the garden, the Hotel Monna Lisa is still a small cosy hotel situated in a side street a short walk from the Cathedral. The Monna Lisa, once you have proceeded beyond its unassuming facade, charms with its characterful courtyard with tiled ceiling, winter garden and historic furniture. The historic Florentine building the hotel occupies has been well preserved and enhanced to create a cosy, home-from-home feel. Rooms are located in the original building and in two more recently converted buildings, one at the bottom of the garden and one adjoining the hotel grounds. The bedrooms are atmospheric and vary in size and aspect.

Very Good, very good location, very difficult to find and more difficult to find the parcking, but quite and nice. I will stay there again. Piero
The Monna Lisa Hotel is just lovely. My husband and I stayed in a beautiful room which was quite luxurious and private. The hotel is full of interesting paintings and sculptures and the garden is lovely too. I was impressed with the staff and the breakfast was the best we had in all of Italy. There is a laundromat not too far away which is handy if you have been travelling for a while. Many Thanks.
Sometimes the hotel enviroment creates you the feeling you have travelled in the past. Very polite personnel. Reccomended hotel.
Great location and the room was beautiful. Service was indifferent at times.
Lovely traditional hotel very close to the centre of Florence.
Hotel has lovely setting and is perfect for those who like a quiet and old-world environment. It definitely exceeded our expectations as I was very wary after reading mixed reviews on some other sites. Restaurants around the area is also excellent. Service, is however, while professional, not very personal or friendly.
A very beautiful hotel, but single room is quite small. Excellent breakfast.
Very nice Renaissance atmosphere. Very good service. Unique interior & lounges. Nice garden.
I highly recommend this hotel. Wonderful artwork lines the walls of this old palace. All amenities were there, including a small fitness room. Great location for being able to walk everywhere. Good breakfast, warm hospitality.
Limited parking available at hotel and no nearby neighborhood or street parking made parking very difficult.
Great old hotel right in the centre of Florence. We had a room in the old section, which was fantastic. Only trouble, the hot water took a long time to come through. Apart from that, we would definately stay there again next time in Floorence.
This is a charming hotel located close to the Duomo. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
we stayed 1 week in florence at te mona kissa hotel. the location is excellent just a few minutes walk to all the sites and attractions. I reccomend a bakery just a few blocks down the road (on borgo pinto 16) for great pizzas and other. the hotel is in an old beutiful florencian villa. you can really get the feel of the city as it was. the staff are friendly and quite helpfull, but we were slightly disappointed to find that the hotel did not supply free internet access and the minimum charge is high (4 euro). note that parking is not free and costs 20 euro per night. in all we had a great stay and we highly reccomend.
beautifull spacious hotel, with excellent service. would definatley recommend again to anyone going to florence, this is one of the few hotels where the pictures do not do the hotels accomodations justice.
Hotel is beautiful, but room had one small window over street and to keep out sounds had to be kept closed and shuttered which made it unable to tell if day or night like in a cave. Also was way overheated and no way to turn down heat or open window without a lot of noise from street.
Charming hotel surrounding a lovely courtyard and garden. The older hotel buildings have rooms that are somewhat dated, with dingy wallpaper and older furniture, but still clean and comfortable. The newer building has rooms with spectacular furniture, decor, bathrooms and amenities. Some rooms in newer building also have balconys overlooking the garden; I highly recommend this. The breakfast is wonderful, served in a beautiful dinning room with plenty of choices and excellent quality of food. Hotel is centrally located for most Florence destinations by foot or taxi. Hotel staff are helpful in terms of directions and information, and most speak excellent English.
Superb accomodation. In a month of travelling Italy this was our absolute favourite. Charming and yet grand. A beautiful enviroment to relax in, close to most major attractions, very reasonably price. Ambience!!
A very pleasant hotel with a really old world atmosphere and furniture. We were pleasantly surprised to have a personal jacuzzi in a basic room. We were able to walk everywhere of interest from the hotel. However, bringing a car in was not only traumatic with the many one-way both narrow and pedestrainized roads but also expensive.
This hotel is a feast for sculpture lovers. Located in Borgo Pinti, literally opposite the house of Giambologna and of all subsequent holders of the post of Grand Ducal Sculptor, it is dotted with pieces by or after Duprè, the nineteenth-century sculptor whose family owned the palace. The setting and period furnishings convey the atmosphere of an Italian palazzo at its best. Beds, bathrooms and central heating are, however, thouroughly modern and comfortable. The staff at the reception are kind and welcoming, and the service is attentive. Slightly removed from the main tourist routes, the Monna Lisa enjoys exceptional quietness while still within ten minutes walk from the Piazza della Signoria and all the main tourist attractions. Good restaurants such as il Cibreo are within walking distance.
Beautiful hotel with excellent service.
