Monte Malaga Hotel

A clean hotel outside the town of Malaga near the sea terminal, the restaurant is not that good the bar provides a slow service. The staff are helpful. The old town of Malaga is about 15mins walk away, the railway station is 5 mins walk away.

The hotel is very clean, rooms are bigbut the view from the room is of the port, not very interesting. The pool is great but too bad it isn't heated even though we were there in Aug and it was very hot - the pool is on the first floor and is in the shadow of the hotel most of the day. The only bad remark is the hotel is far from the old center of the city, takes about 20min. to walk there or there is conveniently a bus stop nearby (Line 1) to get you there in 5min, buses are quite frequent. Also, to walk to the nearest beach it takes about 15min. The good thing is the hotel is a 5min. walk from the train station and it's shopping centre.

Nice hotel with good service and helpful staff. One of the best buy in Malaga, I guess.

Room was excellent and roomy with very modern new bathroom & toilet facilities. Hotel staff were also all very helpful (considering my almost non-existent Spanish), friendly, and informative of local restaurants etc. Town shopping district only 5-10min walk. Good pool and area however not really for the tan seeking sun worshipper. All in all a good hit!

A truly wonderful hotel for our first night of marriage - wish we could have stayed longer - will be back for our anniversary.

All in all a very good business traveler type hotel. We were only there one night, but were very impressed with the friendliness of the staff and the hotel in general. It is clean modern and well equipped. It is not a holiday hotel however.

The hotel was very mordern and well equiped and the staff were very friendly. Event advert booklets placed in the hotel were very informative however we tried to book three different restaurants with assurances from the hotel, only to find on arrival that the restaurants were closed. If this due to season I feel the staff should have known about it.

Monte Malaga Hotel was great. The rooms were spacious, cheerful and very clean. All the extra space in the bathroom and bedroom was a plus. The roomy hallway, lobby, free-use of computers, the coffeeshop all made our stay delightful. The staff were friendly and helpful and their English good. The only drawback was that the location was just a little away from the town center; however, not difficult to navigate. The only negative I can make is that the beds were just a little firm.
