One of the strengths of the Hotel Montecitorio is a superb location, combined with the elegance of the rooms. Montecitorio Hotel, located in the heart of downtown Rome, combines elegance and comfort to offer its guests a quiet atmosphere. For its extraordinary position you will be immersed in history and art of the city just walking, visiting the wonderful monuments, palaces and squares. A few meters away from Piazza di Spagna and Fontana di Trevi, near the Pantheon and Piazza Navona, on Via del Corso from where you can see Piazza Venezia from where you go through Fori Imperiali to the Colosseum. In the same area, as well as you’ll enjoy the artistic and historical wealth you can also indulge in shopping and browse through the showrooms of the big names in fashion. A little distance from St. Peter and the Vatican Museums, Castel Sant'Angelo, the Tiber, Isola Tiberina and from the famous Trastevere area. Montecitorio Hotel Rome Guest Reviews

4.4 out of 5

Excellent Location!!! This hotel is best for walking everywhere! We were given a room on the 4th floor in the block next to the reception block and the room was really nice. Our room was for three of us and it was only 2 of us thus we had extra space. The room was really nice and clean. There are quite a few doors you need to pass to get to the room but after you go through the first time then its easy to find your way. We didn;t really like breakfast and in the morning we could hear other residents talking outside our room. The location of the hotel is a ten! Just a five minute walk to the spanish steps and fontana di trevi. We walked to the Colosseum and even to the vatican city just a 25 minute walk and walking in Rome is really nice if the weather is nice! I would definitely go back to this hotel.

Brand new/ recently renovated, very good condition. Facilities: almost none. No restaurant, breakfest served directly to the room - nice.

we stayed at the montecitorio for 4 nights and had a fabulous time. there is no restaurant or bar but considering you are a 2 min walk from everything in rome it doesnt matter also it means u get your breakfast brought to ur room every morning. the night receptionist was the most pleasant and helpful man and really makes your stay. the only problem is it is 2 flights of stairs up which can be a bit much on your legs after a day of sightseeing but it is so central it doesnt matter. i would definitely recommend this hotel
