"You get what you pay for at the Montmartre Clignancourt Hotel Paris. The rooms are basic and the walls carry sounds of traffic from outside and guests in other rooms to yours.
The rooms and facilties are kept just clean enough.
Having said that, during stay we did get a surprise visit from a mouse in the wee hours of the morning.
There are restaurants within easy walking distance, but the area around the hotel never felt very safe at night or even during the day.
It's not within walking distance to the center, but there is a convenient Metro station just round the corner that will take you there.
The front desk staff were friendly and could speak OK english, but put us into a twin room at first instead of a double by mistake." - Anonymous

At this time, the hotel is currently awaiting its official 1 star classification but offers excellent value for money for those on a limited budget and may be considered a good tourist class property, perfect pick for budget or young travellers, within close proximity to some of the city's major landmarks, such as Montmartre and excellently connected thanks to the passing metro line. Guests will enjoy the homely touch and warm welcome of this family-run property. Located in the 18th arrondissement of Paris, in a small side street, next to a lively and cosmopolitan area, the hotel is just off the tube station leading to some of Paris'main attractions and areas. Guests will enjoy the Montmartre area just a few minutes walking distance from the hotel' s door step which includes the Sacree Coeur and Abesses areas where clients will enjoy many shops open every day and restaurants |

The area is very easy to reach with a lot of transport possibilities. The metro station is at 2 minutes from the hotel, the main Train Station Gare du Nord is at 1 block station and the airport is at 25 km. Any Paris landmark will be reach in less then 20 min by transport (metro, bus and train).
From Charles de Gaulle Airport: take RER B to gare du Nord station and then change to metro line n° 4 to Anvers (2 stops) or walk from Gare du Nord (800 m).
From Gare du Nord: walking distance is 400 m.
From Orly airport : take the Orly Val to catch the RER B at Antony station and continue to Gare du Nord and change for line 4 and exit at Anvers (2 stops) or walk from Gare du Nord (800 m).
