Montreal Hotel Florence

The hotel is located near the Firenze SMN stazione. Initially I checked the location by Google map but later we found out that the indication was totally wrong !! ends up we spent a hour to find the hotel. It is acutally located 5 minutes from the station. So it's very near. But better double check the map before you go. The room was small and bed was not so nice. The shower room was very small too. Overall it was not so bad because of the cheap rate and the location.

A small single room, essential but very well kept, in a really good position at a good price. I recommend this hotel.

Good location close to the railway station. Relatively easy to navigate to the Duomo and the Uffizi Gallery. Breakfast was decent and the wifi in the room was a plus to the overall package. Good value.

Free wireless Internet if you ask for password daily! Amazing location! Only problem was the poor a/c (at least in May)... I'd definitely stay here again though!!

The rooms were good, clean and very spacious. Looks like they were renovated recently. the staff was extremely polite and friendly and the breakfast was also good. The Hotel is located very close to the Railway station and easily accessible. The only drawback is that the lift doesnot function beyond the first floor so be ready to lug your luggage upwards if you are alloted rooms beyond the first floor. All in all a very good and pleasat place to stay and real value for money.

The hotel was quite spacious for a family of 4. Close to the train station and easy to find. It was walking distance to all the major attractions.

We were on the 3rd floor, so had to carry our suitcases up a few flights of stairs (the lift only goes to the first floor). Very large room (split in 2) for 3 people. Very simple room, but clean and tidy. The bathroom was recently renovated and quite nice. Breakfast a very nice buffet.

Hotel was well placed - close to train and bus station. Very small, wardrobe was too high to hang clothes. Shower was very small and actually had two small sliding doors to enter at the corner - no room to bend over and pick up the soap if it was dropped. Breakfast could well be missed.

Great location, it is very close to all public transportation.

This is a well situated hotel and the rooms are a reasonable size and clean. Most reasonably priced hotels in Florence are used by a high proportion young people - often students. If you are unlucky you will not get a peaceful night. I booked 2 rooms. One was unlucky. As the hotel is on a busy narrow road we asked for quiet rooms. However, one of these rooms, 103 was next to a toilet and shower room which had a very noisy extraction fan which stayed on for 15 minutes each time the light was switched on. People used it well into the night and some even singing loudly in the shower. My wife and I had the other room and had a quiet night. The hotel should be made aware of this problem which may apply to equivalent rooms next to shower and toilets on floors above.

This hotel was rather disappointing. Our room was right up the top, up two flights of narrow steep steps, a twisting turning corridor, the bathroom was damp and smelt it, the breakfast was very poor, just rolls, meagre cereal, and limited drinks. One day I had yoghurt, but there wasn't any on the other days of our stay. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Centrally located, a block from the main train station. This hotel is very good value for money. Rooms are pretty OK but breakfast is a little scanty. Some rooms do not have a bathroom so you need to ensure that you have an ensuite one. The lift only goes to the first floor, so if you're carrying a lot of luggage, make sure you get a room on the first floor.

There is no lift on the upper floor. Carrying the luggage is heavy to travelers. But the staff are very friendly, especially the staff in the cafe.

Is clean, moderate european size rooms and of course small bathrooms witha shower. No elevator. We were on 3rd floor and had to take luggage into small stair cases. 5 minute walk from train station. very close to train and convenient to major attractions 15-20 min leisure walk away. Breakfast was croissants, bread rolls, some oatmeal/bran cereal, juice, coffee, and milk. Should be at least a 2 star. Nice gets the job done, prices lower than many other hotels. Would stay there again especially with my budget. Can't wait until the dollar gets stronger the euro was almost $1.50 so made stuff more expensive.

Professionally presented, clean tidy, very central, only a few minutes walk to central train station. Easy to find. Small bathroom, as most Italian hotels are. Negatives were no fridge, no room safe and aircon struggled in warm conditions (but at least in had it). Breakfast is basic with 1 choice of cereal (many we visited didn't offer cereal at all) a small roll, crossiant, coffee, tea and orange juice. A very pleasant hotel and well worth considering. Well priced for it's location and facilities offered.

Nice clean little hotel. Close to station and can walk to just about everything. Would stay again for the price.

I was very satisfied during the stay in Montreal Hotel except the breakfast. Everythings beyond my expectation towards a two star hotel.

Location is very good, the room was big and had airconditioning. Breakfast was ok. Shame the elevator could only stop at the first floor. Overall a very decent hotel and a bargain for what we paid for it!
