Motel 429 Sandy Bay Road Hobart

The hotel was average. Is was ok location but have had much better in Hobart at similar price.

Self contained studio was adequate if basic - bed was comfortable but room lacked a table - just had a bench along the window. The decor was dark and rather gloomy. The location was good in terms of access to a nice walking path along the Derwent, but the hotel is on a busy road and the room suffered from traffic noise, especially if the window was open. Probably better for one person than 2.

We always stay at 429. It is clean, quiet and central to our needs in Hobart.

This was just a quick overnight stay. The room was comfotavle and warm. A bit on the basis side but I didn't need anything more. The owners are renovating the rooms one by one which should bring the standard up a level. I had no complaints.

Very comfortable, very clean & very handy location. Thoroughly enjoyed our 2 days stay there. Highly recommended for the people who wish to prepare their own food. Thanx to all for making our stay a comfortable & enjoyable one.

On arrival the reception staff was very welcoming and accommodating of our needs. They were extremely helpful and provided us with great service. The room we stayed in, a deluxe double, provided us with a clean and comfortable place to stay. The only thing missing was shampoo and conditioner, everything was clean and well appointed. My daughters stayed in another room on the same night which did not have airconditioning and was small and the bathroom tired but it too was extremely clean and for the price we paid a comfortable experience. We will return to this motel again in the near future, it is a fabulous location and I can see that the owners are committed to making their guests stay a pleasant one.

Hello - We were upgraded to a deluxe room. The room was very clean and comfortable. The referbishment is good. Have stayed before and was even better this time.

The internet pictures are way better than the accomodation. Good location opposite Wrest point but seriously just a motel.

We had a standard room and were very happy. We had more basics at this Motel, than we got at some other more expensive places in Tasmania. Only a cpl of minutes walk to Casino, and the bus stop to the City and Salamanca Market just on the next block. Staff at Reception were very pleasant, and very helpful with information. We would definately stay again.

I stayed for 5 days. The room servicing staff could have replenished the milk supply for tea an coffee

My wife and I stayed in a deluxe room on Friday 13th June, 2008. We had a great time there. The staff were very friendly, the room was nice and clean and big as well. Great location being literally across the road from the casino as well. Would definitely stay here again.

Encountered very friendly, helpful and professional reception staff. We had eight very satisfied people in our group . One elderly member found it difficult to get in and out of the shower (over the bath), however this was overcome by being upgraded to a deluxe room. We would all definitely stay here again.

We spent 4 nights here room was large, comfortable and self contained with microwave and breakfast dishes. Handy to Casino and public transport if needed. Not too far from city centre and handy to Battery point shopping centre. Shower can be difficult for people with disability has very high sides to step over. Lift to all levels.
