"We stayed in a split level family room and, space wise this was fine. The staircase was pretty hairy when carrying an infant though. The room was pretty tired; curtains hanging off the (very noisy) rail, plastic cover hanging off TV - probably due to it being a family room to be fair, I couldn't bear to use the fan in the shower room though - think of fingernails down a blackboard. A couple of extra items appeared on our bill - 10GBP for a travel cot (it wasn't even set up for that) and a 5GBP fuel surcharge. A travel cot costs about 40GBP and you store it in your family room - 10GBP for using it and brand new (itchy) unwashed sheets is a rip off. The breakfast was very good but I doubt I'd stay again." - Peter Telford

Travel south on the A9 from INVERNESS towards PERTH. After about 20 miles you crest the SLOCHD summit. Turn Left onto the A938 for CARRBRIDGE. Continue straight through CARRBRIDGE and head for GRANTOWN ON SPEY. After about 5 miles Muckrach is on your left, just after the small white castle
