I had to be in Wellington for the day for work, asked my wife to come and booked a good quality hotel with character for one night. We paid the extra $30 for the harbour view and were no disappointed. Staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. They made us feel very welcome and valued. Location is ideal for walking day and night.
... but the room let it down. We've stayed here before, paid much less and got a better room. Next time I'll book with the hotel directly and request a better room.
Classic Deluxe rooms have recently been refurbished and contain a queen size bed, 42' LCD television, writing desk, comfortable arm chair and ensuite with bath and shower.
Premier Studios contain a super king sized bed, kitchenette, washer/dryer, espresso machine, 42" LCD television, DVD player and a beautifully appointed bathroom with rain shower and separate luxurious bath tub for two
One Bedroom Suites contain a king sized bed in a bedroom off the lounge, kitchenette, washer/dryer, espresso machine, 42" LCD television, DVD player and a beautifully appointed bathroom with rain shower and separate luxurious bath tub for two
Good location for Te Papa and the CBD. Ho hum facilities though. The room which they said was an upgrade was pretty ordinary. Hardly an apartment suite. Just a room with an little kitchenette squeezed in. The pool was grey concrete under a lean to and pretty uninviting. Lack of attention to detail. No newspaper the second day. A partly disabled coffee machine that only took pods which had to be purchased. Really really cheap and nasty loo paper. Dreadful TV reception and picture (but then the views from the window were great). Would try somewhere else next time.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The hotel decor was really different and interesting. The room was excellent with kitchen, washing machine and dryer, and beautiful bathroom with spa bath. The service was excellent and staff were friendly and efficient. Location was great we definitely would stay here again.
The room was wonderful, all the amenities were fantastic, the bathroom wasn't as clean as I had expected for such a lovely hotel. Overall great service, great price, really well situated walking distance to all amenities. We would definitely stay again and I would recommend it to friends and family.
We loved our stay at the Museum Hotel, staff were very friendly and helpful and the room very spacious and clean and modern. We were very pleased we chose to eat in at the Hippopotamus Restaurant, with it's opulent decor, exceptional service and fabulous menu and beverage range. Definitely go back there again!
rooms great. Service in the bar wonderful. Location very handy. Would have preferred earlier check in time.
This a very well designed and thought out hotel, with lots of great touches for the art lover. The room service meal I had was the best of its type that I have eaten in all my travels around the world. Happy to stay here again
welcomed by very polite staff member all staff were of a very high standard very helpfull and made our stay a very nice one i will be going back again best hotel i have stayed in in wellington
A top hotel. If you are prepared to pay the charges you won't be disappointed.
Fantastic stay no complaints in anyway, was great!
I enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The facilites were neat and tidy, thought the carpet in the classic room needs upgrading. Overall the hotel was lovely.
Enjoyed my stay there
Lovely apartment with full kitchen and separate bedroom. Would definately recommend!! We'll be back.
We had a nice weekend. Enjoyed our stay at hotel.
I had a very enjoyable stay. The mini bar prices were amazingly reasonable, with the sparking wine price only 3 cents dearer than the local supermarket whereas noramlly there is a huge markup
In my opinion this hotel is overdue for renovation. It appears to me to be'tired'and 'dated'.
Excellent service - friendly staff - awesome works of art throughout the entire hotel made it an inspiring stay. Cleanest indoor pool we have ever had the pleasure of swimming in. Will definitely be back and recommend to friends!
Great stay in a great location.....a little dark in places but that adds to it's quiryness. It was my third stay.
Great stay. Thanks
