This delightful new small hotel offers wonderful accommodation in the historic city of Santiago de Compostela. The rooms are comfortable and totally equipped with the latest in technology and have include full bathrooms with hair dryers, televisions, telephones, some with balconies, and heating. Housed in two buildings, the first built in 1735 and is a typical Santiaguesa house with a big Lareira that is now a fundamental part of the hotel's Salon. Open spaces without barriers, stone and metal - an architectural experience to savour. Located in the heart of the barrio de la Algalia de Arriba, an important part of the oldest area of the town, where ancient houses that once belonged to the nobility are found. Close by is la Plaza de San Roque as well as the hermitage. This central location is just minutes from the important museums including the museum of contemporary art, the O Pobo Galego and the Peregrinaciones, and to the Parks, including the Bonaval Park. The Cathedral is five minutes away through the winding streets of Santiago de Compostela. There is a bodega, cafeteria and a special restaurant serving typically Galician fare but with a Gourmet twist.

The problem was that I made a booking with Hotel Club for Superior doble room and when arrived the booking was done for Standard. In reception they showed me the confirmation sent by Hotel Club and it was done as standard.
This was a very nice clean and modern hotel although the room was quite small. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our flight had been cancelled and I rang and told them we could not make it on the night booked. I asked if we could arrive the next day instead and they agreed no problem at all.
Excellent value. Wonderful location. Would not hesitate to recommend.
Good situated and nice interiordesign. Breakfast included and more than just the continental stuff. Free internet.

the heating in the hotel was inadequate.and it was very noisy. i dont think i would stay here again.
Very pleasant and conveniently located hotel. Friendly service and excellent breakfasts, despite alterations being carried out in restaurant (which is closed till end Jan). Minor problems with light bulb and lack of hot water were immediately rectified. Hotel not easy to find if arriving by car, recommend you contact hotel for directions and best place to park in this pedestrian city centre. Would be very happy to stay there again.
Lovely chic hotel, very well placed for exploring the old town. Our room was small but very stylish and the very high ceiling made the room light and airy. It had everything we could need. Would definitely stay there again.

Arrived at 11am but were unable to book in until nearly 4pm as room was not ready. Door handle on inside of bathroom door was broken the door would not shut properly either. When reported nothing was done about it. The shower head was also broken from the hose. A replacement hose was supplied to us to fit ourselves !!! but could not be fitted as the head had snapped off inside the previous hose. This proved to complicated for the reception to comprehend so was never fixed. Hotel in very convienent position but very noise with late night revelers returning homeward up the lovely stone narrow streets of the old city. This hotel if fine for a short stay visit.
When we were there, the hotel never had hot water. The amenities were nice except the restaurant ran out of breakfast.

One of the most beautiful and comfortable hotels I have ever stayed in. The staff is exceptionaly friendly and the location is ideal. Far superior to any 4 or 5 star hotel in the city.
