THE NETHYBRIDGE HOTEL, Well known to generations of travellers, is situated amidst the splendour of the Cairngorm Mountains and the lushly wooded Strathspey. This AA 3 Star and Visit Scotland 3 Star awarded Victorian Hotel has magnificent character and is a mere ten minutes drive from the A9 and is close to the Highland capital, Inverness.

Getting there:
Travel by Road to Nethybridge: From Glasgow A/M80 towards Stirling then M9 to Perth. Take A9 towards Aviemore then A95 towards Granton-on-Spey & bear onto local road for Nethy Bridge. From Edinburgh M9 towards Perth then A9 towards Aviemore then as above. From Inverness A9 towards Aviemore then as above. Travel by Air: The nearest Airport is Inverness Airport which is served by regular flights from all over the country. Travel by Rail: The nearest station is at Aviemore (15 miles) which is serviced by connections from Glasgow, Edinburgh, Wick/Thurso & Kyle of Lochalsh. Travel by Coach: A wide variety of national companies offer a service to the Highands alight at Aviemore to catch the local service to Nethybridge run by Highland Country Coaches. From Inverness: Follow A9 South. Take A938 (Carrbridge) then B9153, turn left onto A95 (Grantown on Spey). Turn right onto unnamed road (Boat of Garten). Turn Left onto B970 (Nethybridge). Hotel is on main road in Village.

Not quite what we expected - in the middle of nowhere, with an older client base. The food was good though.

The location was a surprise, don't know how I would have found it without 'sat gav', but very pleasent about an hour from Inverness and lockness. Very good value for money.

Some distance from Inverness. Polite staff. Somewhat dated decor. Otherwise quiet location off the beat & track.
