"The front desk staff seemed indifferent to guests. I requested a non-smoking room, and was told that "all our rooms are non-smoking". Then I find ashtrays in every room of the suite, and a stench of smoke. I also overheard another guest asked upon check in, if he'd like a smoking room.

"We were most impressed with this accommodation. The location was excellent and the Bund and Nanjing Rd were both within walking distance. Other places of interest were a short taxi ride away. We were a family of four- two adults and two teenagers and our two-bedroom suite was ample room for us. The reception staff were most accommodating and the 'bell boys' looked after our luggage on the last day after checkout, as our plane flight was in the evening and we wanted to make the most of our day. We stayed on the 27th floor and had great views. The breakfast was ample and one of the better ones in our holiday. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel and as far as value for money is concerned, it was outstanding." - Anonymous
"Services, facilities and location are all good. It is nice to be in a modern hotel in an old "Chinese" part of the city. The only down side is that its location between streets makes it difficult to catch a taxi without pre-planning. It is more effective to walk half a block to a main street in order to hail a taxi." - Anonymous
"The rooms were litlebit ascetic, few carpets would have been nice. Beds were really hard. Loaction was good and staff was polite. Receptionists could have been more helpfull. " - Anonymous
