New Mitrapap Hotel Chiang Mai Guest Reviews

4 out of 5

This hotel is very old but kept in good condition. Its not in the touristy part of town but you can easily walk or catch a tuk tuk. The price is fantastic at approx Aus$11.00 per night, per room, for a largish air conditioned room with ensuite plus toast and coffee in the morning. The staff new some English and were very helpful. Thanks.

The hotel was very clean as were the rooms and serviced daily - It was located about 10mins from the night market. When we checked in the girl at reception was requesting payment but we explained that it has already been paid. Not sure if she understand the voucher method but the other girl at reception resolved the issue promplty. Be aware they need a 500 bath deposit which gets refunded at the end of your stay. Breakfast is very plain - toast and coffee/tea. Definitely recommend and would stay again. Transfers to the airport can be organised for you by reception along with tours.

This hotel is really good value for money, its cheap, comfortable, quiet and affordable - we had a few minor problems when we checked in but these were all sorted out quickly by the desk staff - continental breakfast is a bit of an exaggeration (its toast and coffee!!) but overall this is a good place to stay whether backpacker or more mature traveller !!

For a budget price, good service, and facilities. Walking distance to night market, old town, the river, and a few shops/food were quite close. Not in the middle of a busy tourist area, so nothing was expensive. After 7 weeks of travel all over Thailand and Malaysia, I cant recall anything negative about this property. it did what was expected, provide the 3 c's -clean, cheap and comfortable accommodation. 24 hr front office booked my early morning taxi, and were always helpful.

Hotel is very near Varorot market and Night Bazaar. Staff is very nice. The room is clean with basic facilities. Towels and bed sheet are clean and they change every day. TV has many channels including Universal and Syfy Universal which I like watching very much.

for a budgeted it was more than what I have expected. it was close to the night market. The staff were very helpful and friendly. As a female travelling alone, I had no fear with staying in the hotel or being out and about.

Good value for wifi and clean room. Breakfast very basic. Location good for market and not too far from other attractions, but surrounding area not very clean.

We had the suite. Nice large room with good views. Good price/quality relation. It was a pity that the reception did not spontaneously give our deposit back. At entrance they were very entousiasdtic to ask for it. Now we had to come back to the hotel with our receipt (because we forgot)

I gave average for clealiness as it is only a 2 star hotel, expect fittings and furnishing to be less well maintained. While the housekeepers do a decent job everyday, except for ants that runs around in the toilet and some slightly stained wall that are bearable, the room is clean enough for a pleasant stay. Facilities is average as the room is very basic and shower is not divided thus taking shower will wet toilet section. However, the hotel provides 2 bottles of drinking water everyday, which is good. Convenient location, very near to day and night market area. Anyone willing to walk futher will reach the big nightly bazzar and Sunday market within 10mins. It only take 15min on a tut tut or truck car for 40 baht to reach airport. Taking a comfortable taxi cost 120 baht.

A great hotel for an easy, cheap, clean and cool stay in Chiang Mai. Very close to night bazaar and an easy walk in to the old city, but far enough away to be quiet. Very helpful staff and very clean rooms. Comfy bed too!
