New World City Hotel Bangkok

A bit outside the busy part of Khao San sorroundings and within easy walking distance to the action. Really friendly and helpfu staff. Also a good travel agent working in the lobby.

My third stay at this hotel. That should be enough of a review.

We were very pleased with all aspects of this hotel except the rollaway bed for the third person was rock hard. This was disappointing as the price for the extra person is quite high when compared to other 'triple' rates. Otherwise though, an excellent choice.

This is the second time I stayed there and I have to say that this hotel is excellent value for money. I will definitely stay there again.

Would like it if there was a gym or a pool for exercising purposes. Wireless internet in every room would be good. I stayed in a superior room and had to go down to the lobby for internet usage. The hotel entrance is quite inaccessible at night - the walk to the lobby from the main road is a little intimidating for foreigners like me. Otherwise, I really liked the service. The Hotel restaurant was fantastic and the staff were overall very helpful and friendly!

My second time at this very good hotel. Given that there is so much choice in Bangkok the best review that I can give is my repeated custom.

Very happy with our stay at the New World Lodge. Our room (412) was very clean and comfortable. The beds were great! The hotel is not on the main road, it's down a side street and taxi drivers do seem to have a problem find it (so make sure you take a hotel card so you can get back). Walking distance to Khao San Rd, and even better Rambuttri Street (I highly recommend going here for beers). Internet access is pricey. The breakfast is basic, with mostly Asian food, but there's toast & coffee if you don't want Asian.

The bathroom needed to be renovated and cleanliness of the room was not good. the bed and bath linen were very worn and grey rather than white. The staff were very effiicient and friendly but did not make up for the hotel's shortcomings.

Strange smell in my room. Humidity??? Apart from this all ok.

Great location for the infamous Khoisan area. Comfy rooms, but DON'T take a room in the low numbers (e.g. 402, rather than 420) as these are close to the road bridge over the fetid canal, and one hears the whine of bikes and tuk tuks, well over the hum of the airconditioner! Excellent Hotel in prime location.Very short walk to Khao San road.Lovely buffet breakfast and very cheap overnight stay with complimentary drink on arrival.Highly recommended.

It is a hotel owned and operated by Thai Muslims. Good foods and its location is very close to all the major attractions in Old Bangkok ie. Grand palace and museums. It is actually a 3 star hotel and the room price is cheap.

I liked this hotel in spite of a few flaws. I stayed in a deluxe room priced in the mid $30s. It was large with a very comfortable king size bed. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to most of the major historic and cultural sites as well as the river and the Kao San rd. tourist area. My only complaints were the sub-par bathroom that was never cleaned very well (a common problem in this price range in BKK) and the noise. With concrete floors and brick walls, sound really carries in this hotel.

The hotel was an easy walk from the airport bus stop at Kao San Road. Our early check out was made easy when our transport did not arrive - the reception staff organised a taxi quickly. Breakfast was great.

For a budget class hotel, I would say "nothing to complaint". The location is perfect, just 5 minutes walk from our favaurite Khaosan road. You can enjoy the foods, environments and party in Khaosan and then you still can have a peaceful sleep away from the noisy street. The receptionist are friendly especially the Tour Counter guy.

The staff was very friendly at check-in. They were also very helpful with directions to different places that I visted. They even wrote directons for me in Thai that I could give to the taxi drivers.

Breakfast is great, location and rooms are not as great.

The room was fairly clean but had a few small bugs...can't really complain for the price. GREAT location for excursions to the famous temples and so on, plus, really is 5 minutes walk to markets and Khaosan road. Allround we were pleased and the staff were very nice and helpful with good english.
