NH Doelen, situated on the river Amstel, right in the centre of Amsterdam, is more than just a hotel. NH Doelen portrays a life-style reflecting the middle 1800's, when famous and infamous guests were made to feel at ease in the majestic surroundings. Recently refurbished, the hotel consists of five luxury Executive rooms and eighty fully equipped business class hotelrooms. Great care has been taken to preserve the unique decor. The main entrance hall and reception are crowned by the beautiful open staircase leading to the hotelrooms. Original and lovingly restored furniture is still to be fuond throughout the hotel.

Descend at the third stop, 1 min. walk to hotel By Airport Shuttle: Route '2' ,leaving in front of the Arrival Hall at Schiphol Airport One way fare: Euro 10,= per person.
Check-in Procedure:
Car parking:No private parking. Parking garages all at 5 minutes walking from the hotel. Parking on the street is possible, but be aware that you need to buy a parking ticket at a ticket machine, recognisable with a large 'P' on top of them.
Child Policy:1 child is free, staying on a room with two paying adults. Only available upon request.
The room was very small for two persons comperd to price. Carpets in all room not for allergic people.
Some noise was outside early in the morning. Room was quite cold but blanket was warm. It was ok to sleep there. :o) People in the reception were very nice!

The Doelen is a very nice hotel in a superb location. It is within walking distance from all the main areas and 5 min from the flower market. All in All the Doelen is very clean and the staff very courteous and friendly. I would definitely recommend it on a first stay in Amsterdam, the area is very safe and its near the "naughty " area. The hotel is a very nice with a classical style. Service is very good. Breakfast buffet is superb.

Nice hotel, lots of character and history. Generally quiet, but only a 'hop, skip, and a jump' from the action on Rembrandt Plein.
Very nice hotel. Normal rates seem quite high, but with "rates to go" we got a very good deal.

When visiting Amsterdam we were looking for at classie hotel that would underline the athmosphere we were searching for. Historical / Romantic. The NH Doelen had it !!! and I woulnd hesitate to re-visit.

This was a great hotel! Our room had a balcony and the beds were VERY soft. The bathroom is all marble with lots of extras. Small room, but all the things you need are there:tea service,minibar,trouser press,chocolates. It is located about 20min walk from Central Station which is a pain with a rollerbag but not unbearable. The breakfast is expensive: 9 Euro for Continental,16 Euro for full brkfst that only added eggs and 2 meats to the Cont. Don't eat breakfast there. You will love this hotel!
We were extremely pleased with everything about this hotel. The location was outstanding. The staff was helpful and friendly. We couldn't have been more satisfied.
My only problem with the hotel, and over all it was wonderful, was the size of my room. It was quite small I thought for a 4 star hotel, the bathroom, which seemed about half the size of the sleeping area, was really nice. The location however, was the winning feature, minutes away from everything.

NH Doelen was a nice hotel situated perfectly in the middle of the city. Breakfast was very very good. We had our two month old baby with us. We got a baby cot. The only problem was for the days we were staying they did not have a room service which made our life a bit harder since we were together with the baby. But generally I recommed the NH Doelen to stay in Amsterdam
