The hotel is easy to find and only five to ten minutes walk from the railway station and less to the major galleries. Not cheap but well appointed with friendly staff and surprisingly quiet.
Excellent location, characterful hotel (traditional decor but modern bathrooms and facilities) with no noise at all to disturb us at night. Excellent breakfast and bistro food, and attentive staff everywhere. We arrived at 10.30am having come by sleeper, and much to our delight reception ensured we had access to our room at that early hour. I recommend this hotel very highly and would certainly use it again.
Excellent hotel and location, only problem was that room was twin not double, even though I had booked a double. When I tried to change they said they only had a few doubles and that they were all booked.
Only problem was that the Breakfast Area was too small - had to queue on both mornings to enter the seating area.
Friendly staff Excellent breakfast with good choices available Good location with plenty of local bars & restaurants near Suggest checking if you want room with a bath Initially given a very small "inside" room but moved with no problem when queried at reception Would recommend
While we were completely satisfied with the hotel location, accomodation and breakfast we were dissapointed with the quality and value of the adjoining Brasserie when we had a light lunch there.
This hotel is wild! Very exotic decor and furnishings. Rooms a bit small, but it makes up for it in style. Great location, yet the rooms were quiet. Fabulous breakfast too.
Lovely hotel with clean and very comfortable bedrooms. Great big bathrooms too! Fantastic breakfast to set you up for the day ahead. Good bar if you felt like a night cap! Best of all the location - sight seeing bus (hop-on hop-off) leaves from practically outside the door! Across the road from the Prado Museum. Would highly recommend.
Nice hotel in the centre of town. Great breakfast buffet with helpful staff. Highly recommended, amazing bathrooms.
good hotel in v/good location, close to lots of places of interest, also good for bus & metro links, rooms are to very good standard for 4 star hotel, modern & all conveniences you would expect, good value, will definately go again,.
A great hotel in avery good location, very friendly staff. This was our second visit this year and will return next year.
very nice hotel and rooms are spacious ,good position. breakfast is avarage but sufficient. I would stay there again. Very quiet rooms . comfortable and well priced with comparsion to european hotels.we travel to europe every year and like to stay in 4 stars hotels and this is one of the roomy and nice, roomy and elegent hotels.
Great location - across road from Prado & Thiessen. Double decker open top tourist bus at door & great restaurants close by. FABULOUS
For Madrid, great value for money, and the location cannot be bettered for those interested in Prado, Thyssen, and Sofia galleries. Its right opposite Prado and Thyssen, and overlooks the beautiful Neptune Fountain. Great room, greatt breakfast
A lovely hotel. Not very large - a boutique feel about it. The position - opposite the Prado is wonderful, and I can't let an opportunity pass without mentioning the hotel's carpet, which is the softest, thickest carpet I've ever encountered in a hotel. We enjoyed our stay there immensely.
Excellent service and location. The rooms could be a bit bigger but I think we traded the size of the room for a quiter room in the back of the building.
This hotel is in a great location (just opposite the Museo del Prado) and you can generally walk all over the city. It has a great gym upstairs which is worth bringing your trainers for. Our room however was not so great... it overlooked a courtyard and on one day had a strange odour. The shower however was brilliant (except for the first morning when there was no hot water as they were having problems with their generator). Despite this, I would probably stay here again on another trip to Madrid. Although, I also would not mind trying to find a place in the Chueca area so that I can do more shopping!
wonderul hotel, fabulous breakfast and very pleasant staff.
The only criticism would be that the satellite TV didn't work, but then I didn't go there to watch the TV
Excellent Hotel, very friendly and helpfull manager. As a large party staying over the New Year we would have prefered the bar to stay open later for residents. However, this did not alter my opinion on the excellent quality of this hotel.
