Hotel Nicolaas Witsen is a nice and peaceful family-owned, non-smoking, hotel, ideally located in a quiet street in the centre of Amsterdam. Within 500 meters from our hotel you will find the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh museum. The entertainment centers Rembrandtplein and Leidseplein are about 600 meters from our hotel. PLEASE NOTE: This hotel will be a non-smoking property from 1st April 2008.

Getting there:from airport: take a shuttlebus direct to our hotel or a train to Central Station. from central station: take tram nr 4 to Frederiksplein. Go to the right into the Weteringschans. The 3rd street on the left is the Nicolaas Witsenstraat.

Good location, clean and very friendly personnel.
Very well run - very clean and nice staff. Hotel provides breakfast which, though is the same every day, is pretty big and is worth the dollars. The location was decent too - not too far away from everything, in a quieter area away from the red light district.

Very well situated, nice staff. But unfortunately, the mattress was amongst the worst that we'd ever slept on.
Great breakfast, brilliant and friendly staff, nice quiet location but a short tram ride/walk into more "tourist" areas. Can't fault this place at all, will definately go back!
