Came to SF to shop, location was only 1 block from major stores! Our room wasn't ready at check-in but staff offered an upgraded room for a minimal charge that was available immediately. And even though that room didn't come with breakfast and wine reception, they let us keep those amenities. The free breakfast was a nice buffet and it included the tip. Will definitely make this hotel my place to stay in San Francisco.
Excellent hotel. Service is very good, location near Union Square is great - close enough, but not noisy. The bed and pillows are the best of the top rated SF hotels. Get a room with breakfast included -- this is a super breakfast that includes foods for everyone's diet, full American, Japanese or healthy at the buffet. I usually like to stay at boutique hotels, but this offers the best of a boutique and a large hotel.

great day of shopping. Great breakfast buffet. Comfortable accomodations
We were in San Francisco to see a Giants baseball game. We usually stay at the Hilton but they were full. I had heard good things about the Nikko Hotel and it was great. Our room was large and spacious. We had a beautiful view. I'd stay there again.
We arrived late and only stayed for a night, but Nikko really wowed us. The staff was phenomenal, friendly, and helpful. We did not have a chance to check out Anzu, the in hotel restaurant, but the roomservice food was superb and of restaurant quality. The complimentary breakfast said continental when we arrived, but in the morning it was a huge spread with everything one could want for breakfast. Good location, good food, cool hotel, and great staff and service. We will definitely be staying at the Hotel Nikko next time we are in SF.
I would recommend this hotel to everyone! Beds were comfortable, room was clean and staff was friendly & helpful. It is a few blocks from union square so be prepared to walk to catch the transit systems.
This was my second time to stay at Nikko. The room is nice, clean, and comfortable. Since I was traveling with a lot of electronics, the numerous power outlets made me happy. One thing that I wanted that was not available in the room I had was a refrigerator. The front desk staff can be rather abrupt at times, but eventually you get where you're going.
We were really pleased with our last-minutes stay at the Nikko. The room was very inviting, the bathroom was stunning and the furniture was very comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. The fridge is a mini-bar, but you can call for a loaner fridge during your stay (we did). Paying for parking at the hotel is both ridiculous and outrageous in my opinion, but standard operating procedure in SF. The hotel was conveniently located for everything we wanted to do during our stay in the city. When in SF, we will stay there again!
An outstanding hotel in every respect!!!!!
Great hotel, more than met my expectations. Friendly staff with excellent local knowledge.
Excellent location. But the facilities of this kind of pricing is disappointing. Old fixtures, no complimentary distilled water! Really old version of TV and bad signal reception. We cannot imagine that this will happen in a 5 Star Hotel. Will definitely not stay at this hotel if we are paying the same sort of price.
Very small rooms, though comfortable. Really, everything was small - the restaurant, the rooms .. everything except the price. All things considered, it was more than adequate, and I would stay there again.
Very quiet room, comfortable bed and tea and coffee facilities (somewhat limited as no kettle, just a percolator). No fridge to store own supplies. Well located to shopping (Macys is fantastic) and transport. Overall, good hotel, recommended and would stay there again.
Great hotel location, near Union Square but not too close. We stayed in an Imperial room on executive floors. Very good value given the inclusions available
This is a big international hotel and therefore somewhat impersonal. However its location is perfect, service and facilities are impeccable and if you can get it for a reasonable price ..go for it. Access from the airport is easy via the BAAT as is access by train.
I am probably being picky - I was upsold upon arrival to a better room for $100 per night extra. The room was excellent - but missing 3 lightbulbs and we found a new pair of shoes that had been there for the duration of stay which the maid hadn't found [until we left bizarrely!]. What 'bugged' me was twofold: the exec lounge which provided afternoon drinks and nibbles was both limited and poor in quality [cheese and biscuits does not work for those who are lactose intolerant]. Also, the service you received varied by individual employee. The pros: location - superb. General accommodation - great. Breakfast - very good. Worth the upgrade? Not in my opinion.
excellent location in heart of the centre of San Francisco.
Excellent hotel. very beautiful and clean and serene. the food wasn't that great and the parking fee was expensive, but other than that really nice. pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and gum. not bad!
Excellent hotel, very friendly services, great location. Large room and bathroom. The price is a little bit high, but lower than other four-star hotel located vis-a-vis.
Nice hotel with perfect location close to Union Square . Very expensive breakfast-go out and find a breakfast-cafe in town instead. Nice pool and gym cost 10 dollar/day.
