Beautifull beach, very friendly and so relaxing

A very nice, clean and great ambiance. Nice for a romantic getaway.

Days on the Resort, enjoying indoor or outdoor activities great. The pool is good for a swim, there is lots to do for families and couples in terms of activities. Tour to the Mangrove River was a highlight, as was dinner at the Seafood Restaurant overlooking the ocean. Resort rooms are not quiet as any noise in the corridor comes through very clearly. Some fabric on the corridor walls to reduce sound would go a long way.

The property was well maintained. Public areas were clean and well supplied. The pool area was fantastic as was the beach. The only minor negative was that there were no outside eating options (only resort restaurants) so that was a cost factor. But we know that before arrival. All our meals were very good. All the staff were very courteous, helpful and friendly making for a very relaxed stay. We hope to return again next year.

Staying in this hotel is really comfortable. The prices of the hotel fee and meals are a bit high, but it worths. The servants are very approachable and helpful; they are happy to help you anytime. There are also shuttle buses from the hotel to the ferry station. If possible, I will go to this hotel again~

The first deluxe room we were given was at ground floor level and had no view. It also seemed a bit "tired" and in need of renovation. We changed to a room on the second floor which had an excellent view of the sea and pool and looked like it had been painted recently and it was fantastic. The bathrooms of both needed renovation but were adequate. Housekeeping was super efficient and the hotel staff were all very friendly. The resort offers the function to move between 5 different venues which have around 9+ different places to eat so there is something for everyone's budget. In general the food was very good and well priced for a resort. Activities are quite lacking. Windsurfing equipment is non existent except for beginners and getting out of the Resorts area is expensive but well worth it. The on site Elephant show was excellent. All in all I would definitely recommend the Nirwana complex and will probably go back...

An excellant hotel thats occasionally let down by slow service in the food outlets

I had low expectations when I went to the resort with my girlfriend. We were pleasantly surprised at the total package they had there - really wonderful service, good food, beautiful beach, water sports and even lots of indoor sports like bowling, archery & even a giant chess board! It was a very relaxing stat indeed there. A double kudos to the service! A couple of things we werent that happy about was that we didnt enough towels at the hotel pool and the pool had no lights inside! Given that they place was known for night swimming, the above came as quite a disappointment.

Get in too early before 3 and you're condemned to loitering about in the lobby, especially if it rains. Food and drinks are pricey. Maitre'd panicked big time when guests started to squabble about who was first for seats at breakfast. Maybe it was beneath him to jot some names down. Food is decent but better off taking a walk to other joints for better, cheaper variety. And yes, don't plan on having the room cleaned until 3 either. Otherwise facilities are nice, clean and enjoyable.

Very expensive for what is it , even with good discount, rooms are old, furnitures too, not enough towels in the room, no service to go out of the hotel. not enough towels at the swimming pool, expensive price at hotel and restaurant. Better to go out for diner if you bargain taxi. easy access to escape from Singapore!

I was very pleased to find that the many poor reports of this hotel were unfounded. My room was spotless and pleasant-smelling, the grounds were well-manicured, the restaurant, whilst not exceptional, served up cheap and tasty meals, the staff were friendly and obliging, and the pool was great! In short, I observed none of the faults commented upon by others who have stayed here!

The facilities, cleanliness, food, and service is good. The only downside is the location is quite far from the main town - Tanjong Pinang.

Hotel should improve on the cleanliness of the common areas, such as corridor and walk way.

Booked a non-smoking room but when I check in the room smelled smoky. Staff was friendly. However the beach was a disappoint - was full of seaweed washed ashore and rubbish. Buffet breakfast range was limited. Also do not expect them to make up the rooms immediately, usually rooms will only be made in the afternoon. If you are looking for some place quite, would not recommend as room's partition seems hollow, you can always hear people moving in and out of rooms and the opening and closing of cupboards next door to yours. Wide range of restaurants available as shuttle service are provided within hotel grounds.

Nirwana Resort has always been my first choice anytime I go to Bintan. Absolutely love the inifinity pool with a gorgeous view of the sea. Has a good selection of food and sunset dinner at the Kelong is a must-do! Very friendly service-staff and even friendlier service when you can speak to them in Bahasa Indonesia. The addition of the Warung Kedaton Spa in the resort itself proved to be convenient when you need a quick head & shoulder massage. The full-board spa services is just a few minutes by shuttle to Mayang Sari for those who needed the full bodyworks. Nirwana Resort is indeed my all-time favourite all these years even after I tried the other resorts in Bintan.

I really enjoyed my stay in Nirwana Gardens and would recommend it to others. Plenty of activities and everything is close.

Excellent pool area, relaxing resort with lots of opportunities to find somewhere quiet along the many walking tracks and the beach. Enjoyed our stay.

i enjoyed staying at this hotel. However it needs a face lift. It is somewhat dated for the price. Internet connectivity non existent espcially if needed urgently in this day and age most hotel of this rating have free access. It is a great place to really wind down and relax. The location is good from that point of view as there is very little to entice you outside the complex. If you need to go else where on the island you really need to get a taxi or hire a car. In my opinion it is design for short stays for Singapore residents

Great for a stay put beach experience. Best pool we've ever had, loved the swim up bar. Lovely clean beach, no crowds. Staff really friendly, and made a point of remembering our names. Good selection of restaurants at varying prices. Everything operates on Singapore Dollars, which we didn't know before hand - we'd assumed we'd have to get Rupiah and didn't take enough SGD. Don't go to Pasar Oleh Oleh - better to hire a taxi and go to other towns for Indonesian food and products.

An excellent family getaway and so conventient from Singapore. The staff are very friendly and we had a superb relaxing time.
