The Nochendi Hotel opened its doors to the public in the town of Cangas de Onís, during the spring of 2003. It is part of a new building in the town centre, only a few metres away from where the Sella and Güeña rivers meet, which the medieval chronicles used as a reference to locate the historical city.
Nearby, is the Santa Cruz dolmen, also part of the heritage surrounding the hotel. The Contranquil meadow, the Los Azules oak forest and the Sueve mountain range make up the scenery offered from the rooms, most of which overlook the river.
The hotel is run by the Ardines Lara brothers, who have a well-known background in the world of hotel and catering with their El Molin de la Pedrera restaurant, which is also found in Cangas de Onís. Emilio, Angel and Paz add to the quality and accessibility of its restoration: it is a 3-star hotel with a carefully looked after interior architecture and with a wide selection of documentation on the area, offering the visitor, if requested, information on what is known as "adventure tourism" and also on other important points of interest.
