"The Norfolk Hotel is a work in progress as they are still carrying out buliding work etc. The room was a good size. Did not like 2 single beds joined together to make a double.
The reception staff were a bit slow. But for the price the Norfolk hotel is great value for money. I looked at a number of reviews before we stay at the Norfolk Hotel and none of them were good. I am pleased to say that the facilities have improved. But there is still a long way for them to go before it up to standard.
The new feel and look of the hotel is impressive and once they have completed the renovation I am sure that it will be a nice place to stay. I am sure that I would stay there again." - Marvin McCaulsky
"The first room I was offered: the bed sank in the middle, so I slept accross at the other end of the bed. I found out the following morning that the batten underneath was broken. However, the second one was much better and I have no complaints, except that the toilet/bathroom wall needed to be washed down a occassionally to remove body fluid marks." - Anonymous
"Dreadful Hotel. Reception and downstairs areas acceptable, but room was smelly and dirty and not decorated for about 20 years. We asked for a swap but the new room was not much better. Shower had smelly drains and water was scalding hot and not adjustable. Breakfast was poor. Major gripe was that nobody really seemed to care, or tried at all to make things better.
Worst place I have ever stayed. Need bulldozing." - Peter Brunskill
"This is the absolutely worst hotel I have stayed in. The interior was incrdibly dirty, the emergency exit was padlocked shut, the staff told my duaghter I wasn't staying there when she called, my wakeup call didn't come, missed my appointment. WiFi did not function for the entire time I was there.
Avoid at all costs." - Al Hasley
