This is a very conveniently located, reasonably priced hotel run by friendly staff. We step out to a bus stop, and Paddington station is just two minutes walk. In the midst of a snow storm in London in early Dec 2010, I found a nice warm refuge in this hotel, for which I'm grateful.
The room was very small, but functional. It's in an excellent location and the staff was helpful. It's an old building, as are most in the area, but they do a good job making their guests as comfortable as possible.
A good priced place in London to stay which while a little older was very clean and quiet.
Close to Paddington station. Very helpful and friedly staff. Small single room (not unusual in London in this type of hotel) but had everything necessary for a short stay. Breakfast was fine but not outstanding. The reception area is inviting and extremely well decorated and furninshed. The bedroom fell short of that standard.
Smallish, but nice rooms very close to Paddington station, which is conveniant for most activities in London. A bit pricy, but given the price level in London ok. Nice breakfast with fresh fruit.
Decor in the room was rather dated but clean and tidy. The hotel was very warm. Service was good, shame check-in isn't a bit more flexible. Overall a pleasant stay, cheap and cheerful.
The room was very small, not even room for a wardrobe. The double bed was two singles pushed together and not the most comfortable. Breakfast consisted of toast, rolls, cheddar cheese, jam, cereals or fruit salad. Having said that it is two minutes walk from Paddington station, the pub attached to the hotel has the cheapest beer I have found in London.
Typical paddington hotel, small rooms but not as small as others i have stayed in, v good location, all that the traveller needs for basic accommodation, would stay here again.
The hotel is well kept but the bathrooms show that it has been a long time since last renewed. Price is good taking into account that it is London. In general I would not mind to book the Norfolk Towers again.
Excellent value for money hotel within walking distance of Paddington Station, helpful staff and nice breakfast. Will be re-booking.
The hotel looks nice from the outside and on entering your greeted by friendly staff. Our room however was a different story! The room smelt very strongly of stale smoke despite it apparentley being banned in the hotel. It was a very small room, barely 2 foot wider than the double bed. The radiator was blasting out heat with no apparent way of turning it down. This ment sleeping with he window open to a fairley noisey road. The small bathroom smelt of damp. On the plus side everything worked, tea, kettle, drinking glasses etc were all provided. The room was cleen. We were only staying one night so just put up with it. Expect more of a 1-2 star hotel rather than a 3 star.
Good location but the room was extra small and bed really needs replacing.
Our stay at this hotel was very pleasant. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms clean but very tiny.
I like to bring my children to London and have never stayed at this hotel before - preferring to stay in a hotel i use for business purposes. however, i can say that on my next visit i woudl most definately be staying at the Norfolk Towers.
i was pleasantly surprised with the hotel, great location, walking distance to paddington and continual buses to oxford street, which u could easily walk in 10 minutes
This is the first time I stayed in this hotel and I find the staff are very very pleasant and helpful. Will return in future.
very small room for a double
Very centrally located and reasonably priced. Rooms are quite small though.
This was a very low budget hotel, but comfortable enough to stay in. The location was great and the staff did everything possible to make our stay comfortable. I would return.
A good choice of accommodation in London having regard to the price and the location of the Hotel.
