Excellent. Very clean, great view (for the price), great telly (important) and an extremely comfortable bed (very important). Will definately stay again & recomment to anyone.
N.S.H.V has become our preferred accommodation when visiting Sydney. From Canberra onto the M5, across the Harbour Bridge and directly to the front door of N.S.H.V.. All City attractions are can be easily reached using rail services, North Sydney Station is an easy 5 minute stroll from the motel, you can enjoy your night out without fighting traffic, trying to finding taxis or parking spots.
The room had excellent views of Sydney Harbour, the Staff were friendly and attended to our needs in a professional manner. The only complaint I have was that the mattress was too soft. However that was rectified by staff.
Everything was good and although we didn't have any food, the room itself was ideal for a family.
Didn't realise when booking that this hotel is directly over a main passenger railway line. My room was on the second floor and every time a train arrived at the station, which was only about 50 metres away, you could feel and hear a pronounced rumbling. Didn't get a lot of sleep. A colleague staying on the 9th floor said he didn't really hear the trains. If staying here ask for a high floor, at least 9 or above!!
We highly recommend this hotel. It has been renovated since the last time we stayed and is very modern, clean and well appointed. The beds are sooo comfortable and cozy. Fantastic location and incredible view. Hop, step and a jump to the train station and other transport. The staff are always so obliging and the conference facilities are great. Definitely a must stay hotel. Max & Ros
Hotel is in a convenient location except that being directly over the railway line does cause issues with noise particularly for those on lower floors. Beds only had doonas no blanket options, therefore it was very hot when trying to sleep. Hotel should provide at least one blanket so that the doona can be thrown off. Air conditioning was unable to be turned down far enough to compensate for the heat. Entry to the hotel is fine if you are in a car. If you have difficulty walking up steep stairs or driveways, this place is not for you. Dragging a bag up/down the vehicle ramp is fraught with danger; hotel needs to consider some better options that may be implemented. Staff hard working and attentive.
I stayed here for a night rather than extend a night at the Vibe at Milson's Point based upon price and I am glad I did. The rooms are fantastic, staff friendly, hot water reliable, etc. Only issue was the lifts, one of which was under refurbishment making the movement of luggage and prams very difficult during peak periods - this should be remedied soon for future guests. I know some people complain about the trains underneath making noise - I knew they were there but did not notice them.
Nice room, great view. Noise from trains a bit of an issue. Bathroom a bit small. Lighting in bathroom not great.
This hotel has the most wonderful location in Sydney - every room has a magnificent view of the harbour. The rooms are standard size, the bathrooms have been refurbished and although very small, are very functional. Service is efficient, bar and restaurant adequate.
I have stayed here a number of times and am still surprised by the fabulous view over the harbour...night time is magical, and worth the extra cost of the rooms which overlook it! This is always my first choice of places to stay in Sydney, both when going there to work or for recreation. The service is excellent, rooms always very clean, beds luxuriously comfortable, a broad choice of food for breakfast in a lovely restaurant, and a very convenient location.
Had a lovely night at this hotel. Our 5th floor room had a beautiful almost 180 degree view of Sydney Harbour. Ordered room service which was a little pricey, but tasted lovely! There was the faint sound of trains (like a dull low rumble) because the North Sydney train station runs under the hotel. However, it was very faint and did not effect my very sound night's sleep in my very comfy bed.
This hotel is in a great location. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The room was great with fantastic views over the city and luna park really good breakfast, comfortable bed, quiet room, the only disappointment was that you pay to stay at the hotel then you also have to pay for parking at the hotel!
Clean room and bathroom, comfortable bed, good facilities for those needing to work from the room. Attentive bar staff. Reasonable tariff. Occasionallyheard a train passing underneath but not a problem.
A great location with great views of the Harbour. The rooms are quiet even if the hotel is above the train line. The bathrooms are very small but clean. The only issue is the window from the bathroom to the bedroom, which does let in light in the middle of the night. The service was great. Will go back to the hotel again.
Nice rooms, friendly staff. They would have gotten a Very Good for Cleanliness, but the rot/mould around the plaster where the base of the shower head was a concern for such a newly renovated room. I left a valuable item in the room, and it took two emails to get them to respond to say they found it and send it back to me COD. Otherwise, Service would have been Very Good too! Thing I found fantastic was the fact that all the digital free to air channels were there! Much better than sanitised AusStar / Foxtel. Price was good for a hotel during Mardi Gras. Can't comment on day to day. With the train directly below, I could see noise being an issue on the lower floors.
Great location, service and view would stay again
