The room wasnt ready and wasnt very clean. Still old soap in the shower. No parking available after they took a deposit of $100 for a parking pass. Told it will take a week to be refunded....
Reception staff very helpful and very pleasant. Helped with our bookings /flight check ins as there guest internet was not available. Room was very roomy but smelt slightly damp but as we were in a tropical area thought this to be acceptable. Wonderful view over the Darwin waterfront No service at the pool bar area as only one bar person. We had to go to the front bar which was a little annoying when you are wet and wearing bathers. Great location, could walk to lot of the attractions. Very resonable rate so we were happy.

Nice accomodation. Make sure you ask for the beach front because by default they put you in the back which is second rate. It's the same price. It's dated now and really needs to be properly renovated, they have only done the bare minimum reno in the rooms and a real shame they kept the 20 year old curtains, as it let the room down.
A noce clean hotel, with friendly staff Good settings, like the atrium bit
Very nice stay. Food and room great, only small complaint, water flooded the bathroom every time you had a shower, very hard to contain with the shower curtain!
Service at the reception desk was very slow with only one staff member on duty for most of the time.
Novotel Atrium is an especially peaceful Hotel for weary travellers it is in a lovely quiet, safe area on the Esplanade in Darwin overlooking the water. I arrived without my own transport, I am a senior person and found most things were in walking distance for me. My room was pleasant and not cramped.
The novotel is starting to look very tired - it is in need of refurbishment
Staff were all very helpful and had a great attitude to make us feel welcome. The rooms were extremely comfortable and relaxing, and we particularly liked the view. Close to the clubs and restaurants made it ideal for us. Great!!!
I found the service from the front desk at both check ins to be exemplary. However, room 518 had a faulty clock radio and even though I left the "faulty device" card out it was ignored. Also, the condition of the shower in 518 was a bit rough. On the other hand the 4th floor room was excellent. Had a problem with the TV(s) apparently being volume limited. Could not hear the cricket commentary easily.
My husband and I used this hotel as a base from which to take tours to Litchfield, Katherine, Kakadu and the Coburg Peninsula. The rooms were large, although the bathrooms were a little small. The staff were very helpful and the reception desk was manned 24/7. We ate breakfast in the Zest restaurant twice. It was $20 ea for a continental breakfast which was very basic. The second time we ate there they had no meats or croissants but offered bacon from the hot buffet. The airconditioning in one of the rooms cut in and out and disrupted our sleep on the one night we were there. The hotel is in a great location on the Esplanade, very close to Mitchell St where the bars and restaurants are. We would stay here again.
Overall I would recommend the Hotel, the staff at the front desk where very helpful, our room was clean and very comfortable, central of the CDB walking distance to all required services.
Very good overall, located right on seafront. No balcony though, and not much of a view out of the window.Having said that, it is so muggy in the wet season, perhaps we would not have used it anyway.Staff friendly, bar prices were at times expensive.Nice pool, room clean and functional.Wpuld stay again.
Excellent location, very short walk to heaps of pubs, cafes etc. Staff were very friendly. We were in Darwin for business and personal reasons, this hotel provided everything we wanted. The room was very quiet, we didn't hear a sound from our room
Novotel is an average hotel but better than many 3 stars. Good lobby bar, that's all. Ok located in the city, which is not hard as it is small. Service is fine. Rooms are clean.
I was very pleasantly surprised with this hotel, much nicer than I had expected as Novotels are often very basic. The hotel is very attractive with a lovely pool and in a super position albeit that there is not a great deal to do in Darwin itself. The restaurant served some good food too. I had a standard room but it contained everything I needed. Ten out of ten.
Front service excellent; Room service very bad, breakfast, not as ordered, not on time
Great value for money. The service was the best we have had for a long time. The pool is beautiful but just a little tired looking and needs some minor work. But other than that the facilities and rooms are excellent. Located right in town near everything you need.
I would use it again - good hotel overall.
The rooms are modern and clean, the staff were very frindly. The location of the hotel is excellent. Great hotel- highly recommended
