Novotel Forest Resort Creswick

Check-in to the hotel was welcoming, swift & hassle free. The room was very clean, comfy king bed, great LG flat screen TV at the foot of the bed, couch & small coffee table to the side & 2 chairs & table on the balcony. The bathroom was spacious & clean but had a funny smell to it. The shower head was big & had good water pressure. Ordered room service for dinner & got a call back 5 minutes later to say they were out of the Strawberries & cream. After waiting approx. 45mins, only one main meal was delivered - the second meal hadn't even been ordered from the kitchen. After another 45min wait & a phone call to see where the meal was, it finally arrived. We asked for a fresh fruit salad, considering the ice-cream had melted due to waiting for the second meal, which they brought up without question. When this was explained to the girl at check-out, she happily refunded the price of the forgotten main meal. Overall the hotel was really nice, great surrounds & would stay again.

The resort is on the Midland Hwy halfway between Ballarat and Creswick. The facilities are good and my room was very comfortable. There was a wall heater with no instructions on how to operate it. I ordered dinner in the Springs bar and my simple meal took 55 minutes to materialise on a Sunday night.

Great hotel value for money, nice view to golf course

This is a good but not great hotel. Surroundings are quite nice but there needs to be a few added touches. Breakfast choice was a little narrow, mini-bar was not as well stocked as it could be and little touches such as as soap receptacle were missing. That said, service was great and the hotel was extremely comfortable.

Excellent Hotel. fine service, large rooms. Spa bath a bit small, however good facilities. Excellent breakfast service.

Excellent location. Helpful & friendly staff. Main restaurant a little unimaginative with breakfast expensive at $27.00, obviously aimed at the corporate guest.

A wonderful overnight stay in the country - not too far from Melbourne. Extremely peaceful. We booked a standard room which was ok but was missing bathrooms essentials (shower cap), and looked a little tired. When asked if there was a room on a higher floor we got offered a suite at a considerable extra cost. Highly recommended especially if the special includes a buffet breakfast.

Very nice resort with great facilities for children & families. Stayed there to attend a wedding which was held in one of the function rooms. Not much around in the Creswick area to see but Ballarat town not too far away.

We had dinner in the reasturant up stairs, the meal was divine. The lady chef should be commended.

whilst we enjoyed our stay we were critical of the serice in the restaurant. one was the delays in waiting for our meals was too long. the same can be said for the drinks all too often we had to request that our drinks be hurried up. one the second night of our stay we were not advised as to the special of the day which was a combination of oysters to which we are both partial. another criticism is that the through traffic from the swimming pool not a good look when dining you see people walking past in varying degrees of clothing, off putting when enjoying meals. The quality of the meals was excellent. as regular restaurant diners & travellers we find in general the Novotel restaurants lack character. in saying all that we do intend to re visit the resort soon. the pricing for the rooms was I believe a little too high.

Could not fault the Novotel Forest Resort at Creswick on any account. Very friendly and efficient staff. Great setting and fresh, new accommodation.
